BIOGRAPHICAL DATA:
Steve Salter brings more than a decade of experience with the Council of Better Business Bureaus to his role as a director of BBBOnLine. A member of the executive team for BBBOnLine since its operational launch in 1997, Mr. Salter is responsible for overseeing the administration of both the Reliability and Privacy programs, including the technical and marketing operations.

Previously, as Reliability Project Director, Mr. Salter's duties include qualifying applicants for compliance with BBB standards, developing training and marketing materials, and working with local Better Business Bureaus in a variety of capacities Mr. Salter worked in the CBBB's Dispute Resolution Division for more than a decade. He was responsible for marketing and held various training and management positions with BBB AUTO LINE, one of the nation's largest independent dispute resolution programs.

Mr. Salter is past president of the Washington D.C. chapter of the Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals. He graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1982.
