I went to Valvoline Express Care to get a routine oil change on my 2023 ********. This was the first oil change that the car had ever had done. Upon leaving the facility both the low oil light and check engine light came on. I assumed that this was from them not resetting the light so I went home and entered into the *** *** that I had the oil change performed. The light remained on so I called *** to see if I could get an ***ointment with them to have the car checked out. The dealerships were all backlogged for maintenance so I took the car to ****************************. They said that the oil was leaking around the drain bolt and that the oil filter was damaged. The check engine light would require me to go to *** to be diagnosed. When I got in to ***, it was diagnosed that wiring assembly control was ripped off and that the oil sending unit and pig tail connector were broken. They were very specific that this was not a defect that would be covered under warranty. I was given a bill for ******** which included another oil change along with repairing the aforementioned broken parts. After being given the bill, I communicated with the manager of Valvoline Express and was asked to send the invoice. After not hearing anything for a week, I had to call back and was told that I should have not gotten the repair so that they could look at the damage. At this point the repair was already done and I was told that this would be passed up the chain. I have still not heard from anyone else (a week later) and the manager, who has been very helpful, is not authorized to do anything further.
