            I purchased blinds from this company on multiple occasions. 2 blinds purchases in 2016 fell apart when the mechanism controlling the spring failed. I contacted the company about parts to repair - or a replacement blind based on the lifetime warranty shown on the web page. The lifetime warranty excludes cords (3 years only) and fabric (5 years only) see attached. The company says the mechanism is considered to be under the cord warranty. (if so, what would remain under the lifetime warrany) and refuses to replace the blinds.I have emails to show the claim and refusal.

            They will not allow you specify the width of the shade. Instead, they say to specify the width of the window and they will take a small deduction. I think a half inch deduction is not small. We specified 27 and received ****. Their cutting policy is awful. They should let customers specify what they want OR anything better than your product will be less than you specify but how much shorter is going to be a surprise.

            Hello, we apologize for any misunderstanding. However, we do this for the convenience of the customer (and this is an industry standard across all custom window treatment providers). In fact, when an inside mount is requested, we add a checkbox that says: "I understand that I am to provide the width measurements of the inside of my window opening NOT the size that I want the blind. Payless Decor will take a small deduction on width so that the product fits within my window opening." We do this because we want to ensure that the window treatment fits inside the window for which it is ordered. So different window treatments have different deductions to ensure it is a custom fit, and the appropriate fit for the window treatment. In any case, we are sorry that this was not clear for you.

            Thank you for your response, but your explanation is inadequate. It was clear that you would be taking a small deduction. 1/2 overall is not a small deduction. That is my complaint. You should specify how much you will deduct to set expectations. Something like: we may deduct as much as 1/2 or as little as 1/8 from the overall width you specify. Instead you do not specify how much could be deducted and instead a customer can be unpleasantly surprised by the amount.
