      I am requesting assistance in attaining the return of my trip insurance payment which was purchased on 1/17/20 (pre-pandemic). My wife and I are retired senior citizens (*** citizens) and were planning a 2020 fall trip to *******, ********, **************** Prior to the trip, the pandemic hit forcing ***************** to ban travel to Great Britain. Our flight to ****** was cancelled by a major ** airline. There were two other flights related to the trip which were reimbursed by the non-*** airlines. We also purchased a rail tour however the provider agreed to reimburse us our money if we agreed to sign a confidentiality agreement which we quickly accepted. We would be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement with InsureMyTrip if they would offer us the same opportunity. InsureMyTrip did issue a credit voucher however we are not able to use it because of health issues and concerns. The voucher states the voucher is transferable so if someone can assist us in finding a buyer we would certainly accept that option. The voucher is for $1,381.We do not understand why InsureMyTrip is not willing to reimburse customers their money since the company did not incur any out of pocket expense. I hope my money didn't end up as incentive pay for a senior officer.

Your insurance ********* *** Travel Guard, issued a voucher for the premium to use on a future trip back in Sept 2020 since that is what they are offering to customers that had to cancel during the pandemic. The decision to reimburse you rather than provide a voucher would be with *** Travel Guard. I would be happy to reach out to them on your behalf since you purchased from our website to request a refund rather than the voucher. Please allow me a few business days to work with them on this exception. I will get back to you via the email you used in this message.

      Terrible company. I would not sign up for insurance through this company. The cancel or interrupt for any reason is bogus, they will find a way to deny your claim. I ended up having to pay the insurance premium PLUS the cost of changing my trip due to a job change. Rip off, save your money.

We are a broker and have had no contact with you. You bought the plan from our comparison site, but worked directly with the insurance provider since we do not handle claims.
