I contacted the vendor on June 17th, 2023, requesting closure of my account and refund of the outstanding (prepaid) balance, on the grounds that the vendor has substantially altered the service, causing inconvenience and extra expenditure not originally contemplated.The vendor contacted me on the same day, refusing my request.Please see the attachment, which details my request and the vendors response.The vendors suggestion, to limit your device to 3G/2G mode, is not possible because the areas I visit have already been upgraded to 4G.The vendors reason for refusing to refund is: "Roaming relies on the telecommunications systems of foreign networks, over which we have no control. We cannot therefore offer any warranties, express or implied, concerning the quality of roaming services. This is irrelevant as here the relevant networks are domestic ***** and ********** and the issue is not quality but basic functionality.The vendors website says, We strive to make communication as efficient and inexpensive as possible for you, whether you're using data, texting or calling across town, across the country or across the globe.That was my experience in the past, but not anymore.The vendor has run into a technical difficulty (owing to telecommunication industry advances); it has provided a poor substitute (1SIMVoIP app) for the original service; and it wants the customer to pay a monthly fee (for a VoIP account and a Personal Extra Number) to use the poor substitute!Refund $31.58
