* booking for Dec 7 12:30 AM ********, ** to *** * received text message that bus would be in ******** at 1:30 and to be there 15 minutes before *I arrived at 1:00 AM, no bus showed until 2:30 AM and driver would not allow me to board. (Others did board) Only response from drive was 'NO!" after looking at my confirmation document and to all questions (I Don't believe the drive spoke English) * sent a text *after* this incident at 2:31 stating "Confirming that bus has not yet arrived at 2:30 AM. Have been at location since 1:15". To which I received no response *Bus tracker in the app still showed the bus was still in south of ******** at this time (after 2:30) giving benefit of the doubt, I waited and watched as the bus approached ******** in the tracker appr * Bus then eventually showed it was about 10 miles BEYOND ********, having NEVER stopped at the ******** site. This was after 3AM * I sent msg to text thread: "Bus tracking says bus is not in *******. It did not stop here at *************"Got immediate response this time: "We got on the bus around 2:30am - it picked up from the parking lot adjacent to Wawa" - which is exactly where I was - and not allowed to board at 2:30. * "**IF*** the tracking app is correct. the bus would have been well beyond *******, ** if it actually left ******** at 2:30. If the tracking app is incorrect, and the bus was in fact at ******** at 2:30, why was I not allow to board with a paid confirmation: WTD367257 ?I should have read the BBB site before booking this trip. My experience was not a great one. Prices are excellent but not worth the aggravation I suffered. Because I put in the wrong address I had an AVS fail, when I did it with the correct one I received the same message. Account was in my son's name but I was paying the tickets. Needless to say that the company took both payments from my card after my son paid the tickets with his card. Because of this incident I didn't have the money to pay for my hotel stay. I've yet to receive my refund of $320. The day of the trip they sent a bus that had people on it already when they arrived at our pickup stop. They overbooked the bus and many of us had to wait for a second bus to come. To top it off the bus also had a unpleasant smell. When I asked for a corporate number to contact someone I was given the brush off. NEVER AGAIN will I ride this bus. I guess they are right when they say you get what you pay for. To be honest if the rating was from 0 to 5 they would get a 0Review from Debbie F

Had a bus reservation for two from ************************** for Oct 11,2023 8pm. Arrived at the location 45 minutes early and saw a ********* in front of ************** Parkbut the Asian lady said, not to ********** ** stay there. Seemed reasonable since our bus wasnt supposed to leave until 8. 8 came and saw a ********* coming up *******, it passed us not in our lane and didnt stop. Another person was waiting with us. I checked the tracking and saw it leaving ***! Had to run to the ****** and pay a huge amount for a train back home. Tried to call the numbers on the paper and not only did no one answer but some of the numbers didnt have voice mail set up. Maybe they are just OK from an actual bus type station but not a street address with no one to talk to. Not worth the cheaper price, use Greyhound or ******, if you can book in advance! Pursuing a refund from my credit card company because o cant talk to anyone at the station and chat didnt help at all!Review from Am H

This is my first and last time taking this bus. I booked a trip for Sunday, September 17, at 12:30 pm leaving from ****************** *** going to Wilmington/*********. Luckily I arrived 15 minutes early because the address I was given on the email was not the same as the bus departure address. The lady told me that I have to click the address to show the exact location (just a heads up to future riders). Before I go any further I want you to be aware that *********** took place today on ******* from 7am-10pm. With that being said this bus company had 2 buses depart from this same location(6th ave) at 8:30am and 10:30am on time. Myself and 15 other people were waiting for 1 hour. This company is an asian based company so when the bus driver and the lady part of the company were speaking it was in their native language and after every phone call she would not give us an update. She would say 10 more minutes hes coming. After 2 more phone calls, now 1 hour and 20 minutes, a lady walked up to her and asked her when the bus will be here because she has to make it home to get her kids from the babysitter. The lady part of the company then said I told you 10 minutes or you can wait until tomorrow! After a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes myself and the rest of the people said we would walk to the driver since he cant find his way to this location after this long. A group of now 20 people had to walk to 30th and 8th ave in which we had to wait another 10 minutes. Being from ******** I understand driving in *** and being that roads blocked off due to a festival is even worse. However, not being able to find a way around fora total of 2 hours, then telling us to wait until tomorrow while not refunding us a ticket, yelling at customers is unprofessional. I think if that lady did not suggest us walking we would still be waiting. There is a right and a wrong way to go about certain situations and this was not done well.Review from True R

The driver is rude ignorant racist my son who is not even a year old he tried to make me pay for a seat when my son is in his carrier on me and he was being so rude to where he needs to be fired i take the chinese bus on 171 madison ave the skinny chinese man whos always smoking ciggerettesReview from Dianne A

I really got screwed by Take Tours/Go to Bus. I purchased a tour, but they cancelled it due to covid. They did not offer the tour again until this year. But the times available for me was not good.They promised to refund my price - 10%. But then they changed their mind. I cannot file a dispute wit the bank because it is more than 365 days.I have lost all my money and I cannot contact them by phone, nor will they return any of my emails.I would never recommend them to anyone.Review from Tyisha J

Ive had decent experiences with this company, the prices are decent & for the most part the ppl on the bus behave themselves, but today was horrible! I purchased 2 tickets in advance for a 6:15 departure. I arrived early for the bus to be sitting there with the doors closed. Standing there for now 30mins, but now its 15 mins after the bus was supposed to depart for them to say the bus is full b/c they had 2 other stops before mine. They overbooked & instead of having another bus available they told us we had to wait for the next bus which wouldnt come until 10:30!!! They couldnt even guarantee me 2 seats as they was still taking ppl money who came to purchase for 10:30pm departure. Advising we call #s that dont work, dont have VM boxes set up, ring out or hang up on you. They didnt offer refunds, We were all furious !!! I refused to wait 4hrs. It got so crazy that the cops had to come. One office was actually helpful opposed to the rest & was able to speak with a rep to get refunds for those who wanted one. The lady didnt even know how to process refunds after someone had mentioned it so the rep on the phone had to take confirmation numbers to process refunds. All of a sudden they cant speak English when it comes to giving us our money back. 3-5 business days I was told, well see, but that experience was so bad Im not purchasing from them again. The lady was rude & they have terrible customer service!!! As they offered no alternatives, not even a credit!! I wouldnt have waited the next day b/c I purchased what I wanted but they didnt even offer to honor my ticket the next day. If you want your money taken, bad customer service, & not given compensation for something that was out of your control this is the bus service for you!Review from Chen W

Worst experience ever!On 9/17/2022, I purchased a bus ticket from gotobus.com for a trip from *********, ** to ************. The bus was scheduled to arrive at ****pm on 9/17.Unfortunately, the bus had never arrived. I waited till ****pm until I called the bus carrier and found out myself that the bus carrier had never received the order from gotobus.com. I am disappointed because not only the bus didn't show up but also I didn't receive any notification in advance, nor after the scheduled time from gotobus.com. Only two days later after I pinged the customer support of ************************** a few times, I received one apology email for a refund. In addition, the telephone number provided by gotobus.com on its website (https://www.gotobus.com/termsandconditions/) to take complaints never offer a menu option to take complaints at all. Given my awful experiences above, I like to warn anyone who may seek a service from GotoBus to think twice before a purchase.
