Date of Transaction: 03/05/2022 Contract - Attached (Agreement_1 and Agreement_2)50% deposit check - Attached *****************************, the owner of 78 Painting met us on 03/02/2022 and discussed about the project for our house. It was a big project of ****sqft house for all interior and exterior paint. We liked his bid and he agreed to complete all the items listed in the contract and took 50% deposit at the start of the project (03/05/2022). He had lied in his contract that his family will be helping him with the project but, we later learnt he was referring to his kids who go to school. He was awfully slow in making progress and took multiple days off and it was hard for us to keep track because he was given a key to the house, and we were waiting to move after he was done with the project. After almost ******************************************************* replaying to texts. Once I warned him of posting reviews online, he sent the email saying he doesn't want to continue anymore. He had barely done 20% of the work of the entire project. I have attached the pictures of our house for your reference. I had to hire another contractor who had to clean up his mess. I am requesting a refund of $6,000 (Six thousand dollars) of my money from 78 Painting.Also, upon posting a review on yelp he has been harassing my family and has made very condescending remarks on my wife (https://www.yelp.com/biz/78-painting-austin-2). Personally, people like ***************************** don't deserve to hold a license for any sort of business or even stay in a civilized society.I really hope I can get back our hard-earned money, and it is not fair that people like ******* can just run away with our money without any repercussions.
