This is my second purchase from Bernard Watch Co. Their communication is excellent and description of the watch was spot on. Shipping of the watch was fast and the watch was very well packaged. Buying such an expensive item online can be very risky but I found a company that I feel very comfortable with. Looking forward to future purchases.Review from David E

Purchased a watch, which needed to be held at a ***** location due to theft issues at my residence. ** got wind of this after the hold order and stole the package after delivery. Package has allegedly been rerouted back to ******, but ***** has no record. ** refuses to give me my $6k back until the watch is "returned" to them, despite it never leaving *****'s possession.Stay far away from this company. In order for a merchant to guarantee payment from a credit card company, we must ship to the billing address of the credit card and obtain proof of delivery (with signature). We shipped to the billing address and no signature could be obtained. We noticed the package being redirected to a ********** This is a red flag for fraud and in fact, the very last watch that was stolen from us was stolen in this exact manner.
***** has been instructed to ignore unauthorized hold at location requests, however sometimes they fail to protect our packages. In our shipping emails we specifically ask buyers to contact us if any redirects are necessary.
We attempted to reach you by phone and were unable to do so (a final red flag). The package arrived at ********* and at that point we had to act to recall the package to avoid potentially losing the watch to a theft by fraud.
When you finally called us, the interaction might have been handled quite amicably and the package reshipped to the billing address.
However, as abusive and threatening as you were, that was not possible. Most buyers are understanding of the security needs involved in shipping high value items once it is explained and can bear (with a little disappointment) a small delay. Fraudsters on the other hand, tend to be demanding, trying threats and intimidation to get their loot before it is too late.
At the time I declined to refund the card, you were still actively attempting to obtain the package at ********* and the package had not yet been secured by *****.
The card used to place the order was refunded as soon as ***** secured our watch.Review from Bryan P

Saw a beautiful watch Bernard Watch Company listed on the internet. I phoned them and they were more than happy to answer my questions and send additional photos of the watch. Complete pleasure to deal with, would definitely do business with them again. In fact, I continue to watch their website to purchase another beautiful watch.The watch was sent and delivered with lightning like speed. When it arrived I was more than astonished at its beauty. It was everything they advertised, plus some. I could not be more pleased. My friends are all envious of the beautiful watch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Review from G. F.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible experience dealing with **** to sell him a watch from my collection. At first it seemed like it would be an easy and smooth process and the price was established. He then changed the price twice and when I told him I need to think about it, he told me to pound sand. So if you want be treated poorly and look no further and give **** a call or shoot him an email. The only positive that came out of this is that I never sent him my watch. I can only imagine him changing the price again and holding me hostage for the return of my watch if I did sell it to him. The term, "bait and switch" comes to mind...Bernard Watch Co Response

In our business being impeccable with our word is very important. We were negotiating in good faith while ***** was listing the watch for sale elsewhere. A bid range was given to him before we received photos. Our offer changed as we received more information about the watch. The reason we ask for many details and what we are trying to avoid when doing that is having to rebid a watch once it arrives here and/or having to return it at our expense and the disappointment of all parties. The bid changed because of multiple subsequent discoveries about issues that were not originally disclosed to us - missing caseback screw, strap, buckle... and then finding the watch was being listed elsewhere in the midst of our discussions. ***** said he didn't mind if we passed, so we did. We are posting the full text of our conversation - here - as we have nothing to hide. *******************************: Hi *****, Thank you for offering us your watch. We would be interested in your IWC described below at $3000 to $3500 with all boxes, papers, warranty card. Has it ever been serviced? Please fill out separate forms and attach photos for the other two at www.sellwatch.com . Only one form per watch please. If my bid range is of interest, please show me what I am to bid. Send good clear photos taken in good light over white paper background like the ones in the link below. Good light, white background and using zoom function helps to achieve great focused macro photos showing me the condition of everything. Please be sure to include a boxes/papers shot showing what all you have that comes with the watch. Here are the angles we take photos at that we feel gives one a good idea of condition, number of links in bracelet, etc: (link) You may upload them to (link), or text them to ************, or reply to this e-mail with the photographs.**** Bernard: Hi *****, Thank you for offering us your watch. Imagine my surprise when I looked to see if my review was posted that there was a response from the company that included our confidential negotiations that were published publicly, but not in their entirety. After I had posted my review the company reached out to me to ask me to remove my review and told me if I did not they would publish our correspondence. I let them know that I do not authorize them to publish the emails and I would consider it a violation of my privacy as well as a copyright violation and that I stand 100% by my review as they were misleading and changed the terms many times. They in turn published my emails but redacted information to make it seem they were in the right and did not publish my response or the complete emails. Their response needs to be removed and edited to stick to their own words and to preserve my email and words. This really goes to show that this business is in fact as dishonest as I felt they were during our failed negotiations. Please remove my email from the BBB. Also, their response is false as they report they offered me a price without seeing photos of the watch, that is incorrect. Their online submission form on their website requires photos to submit a request for them to purchase. So they did in fact see the watch when they made the initial offer. TReview from Chris R
