            I purchased a pendant light from Ligthology (Order#:901372; Sku:AH-41043) on 06/15/22, which was delivered on July 28th. I paid $990 for it. The box should have included a lamp shade, three different length brass color downrods, dimmer, and the brass base to install it to the ceiling (this info is on the website). We have received several light fixtures from different suppliers and we didn't open any of them until the contractors were ready to have the electricians install them in September. We have been having a full house renovation. When the contractor opened the box from Lightology, the only thing that they found in the box was the lamp shade. I reached out to Lightology and told them that I didn't receive all the parts and that I wanted to return the lamp and get refunded. After some back and forth, this is the response I received: "Good afternoon, From our records, we have noticed that the order was delivered back on 7/28/2022 . To report a received item broken/missing outside 72 hours from receipt removes our shipping company's insurance liability coverage, which would be liable. Our Damages Policy states that you must report any absent or damaged goods within this time. In this case, this is outside the allowable time frame for us to replace the parts free of charge. This is also outside of ours and the manufacturer's return policies. We can certainly reach out to the manufacturer regarding the costs of the missing parts and provide you with a quote."I don't want their light or the money for the missing parts as I can't install the lamp without those parts and I don't want to do business with Lightology at all after this ordeal. This response is telling me that they won't do anything to right the wrong and I have to tell them if I want the money back for the missing parts. I'd like my money to be completely refunded and I'm more than happy to mail back the lampshade as I can't use it as is anyway.

            Absolutely horrible customer service and untenable, customer burdened business practice. A suspended light shade was ordered and delivered without issue. Upon delivery, the shipping box and light shade were promptly inspected and no visible signs of damage or defects were found. Three business days after arrival, the shade was attached to the provided hanging cord for installation. Once suspended from the provided hanging cord, a noticeable flaw and ripple appeared only after being hung. The flaw and ripple was further exacerbated the longer it hung. When relieved from suspension, the flaw in the shade disappears. **************** was contacted the following day. After multiple back-and-forth emails with customer service, they said they were unable to exchange the defective product because it was outside the 72 hour notification period post delivery. The explanation that the flaw and ripple only became visible when suspended, which was caused by manufacture defect feel on deaf ears. I further explain it is not reasonable to receive and hang this type of light within a 72 hour period so it can be inspected for manufacturer flaws. Again the explanation and request for exchange fell on deaf ears. Sadly, I have filed a dispute resolution with **************** to resolve this issue. I strongly advise not purchasing products from this business.
