I have been bidding on items with BIDFTA for several years and wanted to compliment them on the service they provide. I have always had good customer service at the warehouses I go to pick up the items I won, and more recently I have seen major improvements in how they are organizing the stuff in the warehouses to make it easier for you the winner of item you have to go pick up and find it. These peoples negative comments about this business I do not understand. It is an auction they are very upfront with you about the items and yes could an item could have been listed as in good working order then when you get it maybe something is broke sure but that is on YOU! When you bid on items youre taking a chance that the item could be broken even though its listed as a certain condition but I dont expect them to test everything thing out that is not possible. When I bid I know there a certain chance that I may get a bad deal bid that is the chance I am taking when I choose to bid on items. YOU need to do your homework and decide if the gamble is worth it. For me I have saved over $15k compared to buying new and yes I have gotten stuck with some bad items but overall I am glad I have found this business. So people do you homework on the item you want and if you win it know there may be something wrong with it but for me I have won out far more than I have gotten stuck with a crappy item. Very satisfied customer!BidFTA Response

The west Seymour location has a whole building full of rude individuals. No one wants to help anyone. Check outs are so slow. Do not go to this location if you can avoid it. They give this company a bad name. Laura is a rude racist old hag.BidFTA Response

Unfortunately, lines are a regular occurrence at the warehouse locations. We always recommend going at "Off' times of the day- like when they first open or not during lunch and after 5:00pm. Often then you will find less crowds.Review from Cindy A.

Requested a refund for items that were missing. After contacted **************** support, I was refused a refund because they claim that I was notified that the items had been found. I never received this notice even after I sent several emails with receipts to show that this did not occur. Instead, I was sent emails from **************** about damaged items, pick up times and finally refusing a refund.BidFTA Response

In looking into our email program for your "Found Item" emails advising you your items were located, I am showing the emails for your found items were sent, received and opened on 3/26. If you didn't open the emails, I would recommend speaking with others in your household who have access to your email account because you were advised once the items were located.Review from Jerry N

I have been shopping here since 2015. I love this place. One of the best companies out there. You have to be careful and check items thoroughly, but they are usually more than willing to work with you and help you out. There's been a few times I've gotten burned, but that's part of business. You win more than you lose with these people. Don't listen to the bad reviews on here, this place is amazing.BidFTA Response

Legalized fraud. We couldnt pick up an item in the days provided. I called and asked if I can pick it up the next day. Called, talked to customer service rep, she told me to file a claim, I did got a reply to eat up the loss. They charged me for the item and kept it. How is it legal?BidFTA Response

The warehouses are on strict inbound and removal schedules and do not hold anything beyond their posted removal days.Removal dates are stated on every auction as its running and also on the receipts customers receive once its charged out. They are not a surprise and we always recommend paying attention to them so customers can plan their schedule around picking up. We cannot issue refunds for items not picked up on time. The First line in our Auction Terms reads This is an ONLINE ONLY AUCTION PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PICK UP YOUR ITEMS during the scheduled removal times NO refunds or chargeback will be granted due to a lack of removal at the designated times. After the scheduled removal, items will be considered abandoned and you will be charged a removal fee for disposal of your itemsWe receive many, MANY emails about illnesses, family emergencies, car wrecks and other incidents that keep bidders from making their removal days. We simply do not have the staff or the warehouse space to pull, hold and track every request we receive from bidders who are unable to make their removals. It takes a significant amount of time, money and man-power to re-lot items that have not been picked up. It isn't as simple as "You're just going to re-sell it anyway". The item must be pulled, re-lotted, placed into another auction, re-posted, re-sold, re-staged and picked up. We actually lose money on items that have to be re-lotted.Review from Amanda H

When they say do your homework you really have to do your homework as in go to the site where the item is located at before the auction and look at it very well. On automotive parts I would suggest going somewhere else that specializes in just that department. I've bought two items from them that were not what the listing was for. One of them had a MSRP of over $1,000 so I bid high on it and won but it came to find out later when I got home and did ****** lens on it it was only worth about 50 bucks. The other one had a item description of a part that fit a vehicle that I own but the sticker on the box it says it's for a completely different make of car than what they advertised. If you explain how it's their fault they won't do anything to fix their mistake(because it's on you to know if they are misrepresenting what they've listed)they'll just give you the same ol story they've listed in all the responses on this site. It's a shame how bad customer service has gotten. I remember when companies stood behind their service and products and understood that the customer is right because they're the ones who keep the business going. Word of mouth is key to a successful business. If you have enough customers angry at the service you provide sooner than later you'll be out of business. **BidFTA Response

Our goal is for everyone to have an enjoyable experience using our website and to get some great deals as well. In order to do that, you will want to familiarize yourself with our item descriptions and how items are lotted. We are an online auction that deals in secondary market items. Secondary market means, these could come from customer returns, overstock, shelf pulls or display/floor models. We have no way of knowing if a customer used the item prior to returning the item or if the supplier simply had too many and sold them to us as overstock. We state clearly in writing throughout the website, the terms and conditions and even signs in our warehouses that we do not test items, we do not assemble items, and we dont verify part lists to confirm completeness.Brand New: Item is complete and in original packaging. Brand New items often originate from shelf pulls or overstock. Good Condition: Item is free of major damage or defects. The item may or may not be in the original packaging, packaging may be less than perfect, hardware may be missing, or product may have been opened previously. Minor scrapes, scuffs, chips, or dents may be present. Good Condition items often originate from customer returns, shelf pulls, overstock, or in-store display units. Working Condition Verified: Item has been turned on and appears to have power. This grade is typically reserved for liquidated restaurant equipment, high value electronics, or high ****************. Working Condition Verified items often originate from customer returns, restaurant *********************** or business closings. As Is: Item has not been thoroughly inspected. Item could show signs of use, could be incomplete, or could have obvious damage or defects. There are no guarantees to the condition, quality, or functionality of As Is items. Although we have made our best attempt to accurately identify and describe the item, please be aware the actual item specifics such as brand, size, color, or model number may differ from the auction listing. As Is items often originate from customer returns, shelf pulls, refurbished goods, or store liquidations. Preview for Condition: Please visit the auction location during the designated preview times to personally inspect this item before bidding. This item could have unique specifications, patterns, or wood grains that are difficult to capture in photos. Item may have been used or have defects. Preview for Condition items often originate from restaurant liquidations, customer returns, overstock, store ***********************, shelf pulls, store displays, or refurbished goods. Refund Policy: All sales are final. No refunds, partial refunds, returns, or exchanges will be considered unless the item has been misidentified, or product condition is incorrect. It is the bidders responsibility to understand the defined product conditions and to thoroughly read all product descriptions and notes before bidding. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we may inadvertently misidentify or mis-condition an item. Should you discover an error in the identification or condition of the item you won, please see an associate AFTER checking out and before leaving the building so the issue can be addressed. No refunds will be issued once you have left the building. Being familiar with these terms is very important as to how the items condition is assessed. They are also important to know because they tell whether or not your item can be refunded. You'll want to inspect all of your items prior to leaving the warehouse. Plug them in, take them out of the boxes, see how they work. If they are lotted as "Brand New or Good Condition" and there are any issues, you can discuss a refund with the removal staff at that time. However, if they are lotted As-Is", Preview For Condition and once they've left the premises, they are no longer eligible for a refund. We always recommend doing a little homework online for larger purchases. Double check to see how many boxes the item should be in. That way you'll know if your item is complete or not. All of these terms are posted in every auction and must be agreed to in order to place a bid.Review from Henry B

Blatant bait and switch. Purchased a particular brand item and stock photos back up proof of item being this brand. Get to store it’s not said brand. And this actual item at ******* was cheaper than price I paid for auction. Went to employee to inform only to be told to take item and reach out immediately to bidfta. Once I reach out I am told that rules and all of a sudden changed and I’m stuck with this over priced Chinese generic when the item I was scammed into purchasing with out the option to get a refund or even correct the wrong and get me the actual item I paid for initially. Not to mention there is a charge for freight but item was already at the store waiting to be ran thru auction as many times as needed. And there is a premium charge but sell me a knock-off smaller item that is cheaper in retail stores than what the auction. Total frauds and the stores attached are in on the scam as wellBidFTA Response

The buyer's premium is a *****% fee on all won items. It's a common fee for most auction houses, it goes towards the administrative costs of running the auctions. Both of these fees are posted in the auction terms.Review from Trevor G

BidFTA has a no-exception pickup policy for items. We are currently under severe storms and tornadoes in the area. I asked for an exception since I needed to make two trips to pick up my items. I emailed back stating that they better be open if I am expected to pick up my items. They replied with "Please watch for weather updates on our Homepage banner". I can't get an exception, but they can!Review from L. P.erkins

BidFTA (Plain City Location) advertised an electric scooter in GOOD WORKING CONDITION. MSRP $599. I placed a bid of $200. I won. Went to pick up the scooter. It was in the original box but it was covered in mud, the folding clamp is broken so it won't hold the handle bars up, the foward/reverse attachment is broken, it will not start and there is no power cord. It is JUNK. I would have not taken this even if it was FREE. I complained to the man at checkout and he said to me "This is what we call GOOD CONDITION" I pointed out everything that was wrong and there is NO WAY that is was considered GOOD. He said "Too Bad, You already paid for it" "No returns" "All sales final" I said that it is not what was advertised, maybe I have the wrong one" He said no, that was it and walked away from me. No one helped me put it in my car. I'm a 62yo female and this crap weighed 50 pounds. But I got it in my car. Driving home I was being optimistic that I can clean this thing up and get some parts and it will be good enough for my grandson's first scooter. Well...NO When I got it home it was worse than I thought. There is no way it can be fixed. I sent an email with several pictures and a video to the headquarters in Cincinnati and they pretty much told me that I can't return it. Too bad. This scooter was used and abused. It should have been thrown in the trash instead of being put on an auction site and described as GOOD WORKING CONDITION. Just beware. These people lie and deceive and practice false advertising. Well that's a nice form letter of double talk. I'll make my comments simple. 1. You advertised the scooter as GOOD WORKING CONDITION. Simple as that. If it was in good working condition I would be happy. But it's not. It's junk. 2 I picked up a scooter that is broke. It does not turn on. The lever that holds the handle bars in place is broke and so bent that will not secure the bars. The gear on the handle bars is broken in 2 places. There is no power cord. And it's covered in mud. 3. I told the man at checkout that I did not want it. He said "Too Bad. You paid for it. No refunds" 4. I contacted the main office in Cincinnati. I was told "I should have told the attendant that I was not happy. Pointed out the problem and I would have got a refund" 5. But since I left with the product "No refunds" 6. This is deceptive false advertising. 7. The description said "GOOD WORKING CONDITION" No where does it say: " DOES NOT TURN ON. HANDLE BARS ARE NOT ATTACHED AND CANNOT BE ATTACHED. THE GEAR SHIFT IS BROKEN. MUD INCLUDED IS FREE" 8. Not only is BidFTA deceptive, this is fraud. 9. I do have pictures if anyone would be interested.Review from Gloria D

My sales receipt included charges I was not informed of prior to purchase. $2.33 premium charge, $1 freight charge. I was then taxed 7.8% sales tax on my item plus the above charges. The sales tax in Cincinnati is 6.5%. Highly unethical, if not illegal, practices.
