I am very disappointed with American finance on March 28th I submitted a request for a mortgage to purchase a new home. I spoke to an agent and was told they would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours I waited 48 hours and never received a call so I called in and asked to speak to a supervisor was given a supervisor and was told that they would check into the issue why I hadn't been contacted back and get back to me after another ************************************************************************************************************************* that afternoon again I did not get contacted that day so I called in again and asked to speak to a manager this is over a week after I'd submitted my request finally after talking to the manager I was given a new agent which was very helpful and communicated very well then after waiting another three days I was denied because the claim my severance package was not an income even though it was for 7 months I then contacted another mortgage company and got approved within one day which makes no sense what's even worse is the house that we were wanting to buy went under contract before we could get approved because of American finance taking two and a half weeks to deny me be careful who you're working with there and if you're agent doesn't communicate as he tells you he's going to need to contact upper management immediately and don't allow it to stretch out like this and lose your chance for a house that you wanted
