    Pending Government Action:
Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:
State of Minnesota, by its Attorney General, Keith Ellison, Plaintiff, vs. GoodLeap LLC, Sunlight Financial LLC, Solar Mosaic LLC, and Dividend Solar Finance LLC,
The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government’s allegations, which have not yet been proven.

On March 7, 2024, the Minnesota Attorney General filed a suit against Dividend Solar Finance LLC. (Case 27-CV-24-3558) along with 3 other solar lending companies, alleging the company violated Minnesota state law pertaining to deceptive trade practice, deceptive lending and of charging high rates of interest.

According to court documents it is alleged that Dividend Solar Finance, deceived consumers into taking out loans with the false promise of low interest rates and applying hidden fees that increased the cost incurred by borrowers. The investigation found that Dividend Solar Finance dictated on how solar companies market and sell their loans. The arrangements between the company and some installers had consumers believing they were entering into loans with low interest rates. It is alleged that consumers were not given the true cost of financing their projects as the upfront fees were not included in sales proposals, or the disclosures. According to the charges, Dividend has received at least $2,323,7147.32 in upfront fees from Minnesota consumers.

    The case is currently pending.

Date of the ********************** was from a phone call that i received over the weekend. The amount of money you paid to the business: $1,526.60, payments stopped in October. payment were being taken out on the 28th each month. What the business committed to provide you: save money on my electric bill each month with the solar panels. Estimated savings over $235 per month by claiming i would be having a $15/month bill versus $250 or more. but yet i am still getting billed in the amount of $420-550 in electric/utility cost. with no helping in reducing the cost. What the nature of dispute is: i was misinformed throughout the process and was not given the full story of how this program work. Only to come across various third party people/companies/or organizations etc.. Where no one can give me a solid answer, impossible to reach or get a return call from anyone..no one knows who did what or whos in charge etc. as if i got scam by some leasing company or so that tricks people into giving up their homes or locking them into a contract they cannot get out of and they are stuck into the end results ... I was trick into a $80k plus loan somehow and no is trying to help me.. I have tried countless time to get someone to remove the panels but nothing has been done an i still continue to get threats and calls on fradulent services and/or company. I have called and tried but still have not gotten anywhere , no follow-up etc. But contiue to get the phone calls and harassment of making payments and what could happen if ths goes on... Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem: no . Account/Order/Tracking Number: l23-tx-0416913 is the loan # from the paperwork i was finally given. If the issue involves advertising, when and where the ad was seen or heard internet /online/web advertising the ******************** you'll get by going solar via free based in ***** per zip or rather these were free via ***** government. +

Had solar installed and financed through them. The installer went bankrupt so it took months to get the project completed. Since its been completed weve had issues with production. Dividend unwilling to help as they financed the equipment on our roof, thats it. Our financing was for installation as well. It wasnt installed correctly. Now were expected to pay out of pocket to get it running correctly. Absolute joke of a company.
