Back in 2017 I got my auto loan through Hawaii USA FCU. Fast forward to November 2023 I paid the loan in full. Roughly 3 weeks later I receive the Title from the bank for my car.In January of this year I checked my credit score and noticed it had dropped a little over 200 points!!TransUnion sends me my report with one adverse hit from ****** USA FCU. The balance shows zero/paid but it went to 60 days and my account is closed.I reached out to the ****** ***. "Oh it looks like you were sent to 60 because of a .03 balance." THREE CENTS How can this happen when I A) Have a $5 minimum balance to have the loan in place and B) Your mobile app gave me the option to "Pay Balance"? I do not manually input numbers. After speaking to one individual a few weeks ago and getting nowhere, I decided to call back today. I spoke to a Supervisor.She said it was in the first few pages of the loan agreement that I was supposed to call the bank at the end of the loan. She said your loan accumulated interest. No kidding but it's supposed to be in my final balance. Then she followed it up with a "Let me see if I can explain this in a way for you to understand" comment."Why didn't you pay off my THREE CENT balance with my $5?""We did. Unfortunately it was late and we still had to report it."This is borderline criminal what has happened to me and I will be reaching out to BBB and every state agency to report and rectify this issue.
