We paid $1842 for an Elopement Package which was significantly overstated and not what was promised in the website description of services stating the package included a wedding planner, consulting services, and pre-wedding arrangements. It seems to be false advertisement or at minimum an attempt to scam.We cancelled due to services not provided as contracted and stated per the cancellation policies and gave a minimum of 90 days (we gave more) written notice (we gave a written notice on the website form as requested, email notice, and phone call notice) all per the cancellation policies in the agreement. We were owed the deposit refund (-$700 per contract for bookings, even though it was less than 48 hours later and a Sunday and no services were booked). We understand we lost the $700 of the deposit, but per the cancellation policies at the time of our agreement, we were owed the remaining deposit of $1142.Just Maui Weddings / Klaus Brandisch gave multiple irrelevant excuses, i.e. acid reflux and having to get approval from his legal team before sending the deposit refund and then only sent $866. Just Maui Weddings/Klaus changed the cancellation terms adding a 5% surcharge and 10% fee AFTER we had initiated our refund for our cancellation. Just Maui Weddings keeps pointing to their NEW policy, which was not in place at the time we booked or cancelled. I have reached out to contact and stated that we are not held to the new/updated terms (that clearly were changed due to Just Maui Weddings not wanting to return our deposit refund). Multiple stall tactics from Just Maui Weddings have been used by Klaus Brandisch including minor health incidences, being unavailable, his employee not knowing anything of the issues, etc. We are owed the remaining refund of our deposit, $276.44.
