      On June 2, 2023, I've received a call from iTalkBB telling me of a promotion for home security cameras that cost $10 a month each. Before this, I have received calls about this deal along with favorable conditions like simple cancelation (not true) and no installation fees (at least this is true). I ordered 2 at that time but today, I have called to return one of the cameras as it is not needed anymore. However, I have been informed that I will need to pay $ 167 CAD for early termination of a 2-year contact. At no time during the call where I ordered the cameras or during the installation was the contact term mentioned to me, but they said that the terms is on the email for the order. The terms were in a small link at the bottom of the email (to their website which they can change anytime) and at no time was I reminded to read the terms or even know that they exist until the call today. Moreover, the email was sent after I have ordered the cameras, so I had no access to the terms until after I ordered! In the call today, they said that failure to read the terms is my fault and they refuse to cancel the early termination fee. I have told them that I will be contacting BBB about their behavior, and they have not made any steps to fix this issue. Can this hidden fee be removed, and can you make iTalkBB contact the consumers about the termination fee before the cameras are ordered? Moreover, their online site (https://***********************************) for ordering also does not contain info on the termination fees. Can you make them add this info at an easily accessible place before more consumers fall into this trap?

      I had the CACN China SIM for over 5 years. I pay $1.99 per month to keep the number and use it when I travel in China. But I had very bad experience this year of using this service. I paid $39.53 for 30 days 5G data package when I left to China. The phone was activated on Sept 3, 2023. But from Sept 5, they started charging over data usage without a warning. I was charged every day until I noticed this on Sept 22 and stopped using the number. The accumulated data over usage was $170.98! Plus on my October bill, there is an additional $22.53 HST charged again on it!. Once you leave your credit card information with them, they just find every opportunity to charge the card! *** **** ***** **** **** ***** ** ****** ***** *** *** It is easy to buy one SIM card when you arrive in China. The data package is way better and cheaper than what Italk BB could offer!

Upon reviewing your account history, we noticed that you made two separate calls in August. During the first call, you inquired about the coverage and fees associated with our China SIM. Subsequently, in the second call, you activated a data plan. Our customer service representative diligently explained the cost of the data package, as well as the potential overage charges, ensuring transparency in our pricing. The data package you had subscribed to included 5GB of data usage over a 30-day period. However, it appears that you used a total of 22GB, resulting in an overage charge of $170.98 for the excess 17GB. We understand that data charges can sometimes be unexpected, and we aim to assist our customers to the best of our ability. As a goodwill gesture, and in recognition of your valued relationship with us, we have decided to waive the fees for an additional 10GB of data. Additionally, we understand that you may have been concerned about the monthly fee, and we've also decided to waive this charge. Regarding the remaining amount of $22.53, we would like to clarify that this represents an unpaid balance carried over from the previous month, specifically from September. We value your continued loyalty as our customer and strive to provide a high level of service and support. If you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer service team at ca.****************@*******.com.

      The activation condition (only when it is in China mainland) and the plan coverage were explained when the data package was purchased. However, it was not expected when the overage charges applied without warning! It was understood that when the data was used up, the coverage would be terminated until the new fee was paid. It is likely that your company was taking the advantage of having customer's credit information and made the charge unfairly. Since you charged the fee every day with the credit card, how there was leftover fee unpaid still! it did not make sense. Nevertheless, the China SIM card from iTalk is useless. I would not recommend anyone to purchase it!
