I have been a loyal customer to ******************** and the Call of Duty for 12+ years. I have copies of Call of Duty games since COD 3. On *** 4th/2024 around 10:15pm I turned on my PlayStation 5 to enjoy my usual Saturday night gaming session with some friends. I managed to play 4 multiplayer games perfectly fine with no issue. Around 10:40pm I joined up a party with 2 friends I game with every weekend. It took a while for us to join a Resurgence lobby but we managed to get into one and we didnt pay no mind. As soon as the game started I was launched from the jump ship and thrown into the ground. This happened 4-5 times consecutively and we immediately left the game. One of my friend suggested I restarted my console and try again, with no luck same result. Long story short, I found my account was put into limited matchmaking status. Furthermore, I looked into my activision account to find I was pending review for a potential ban. After a few hours passed by I decided to check again by signing into my account and playing the game again which brought me to the permanent banned message in game. I played multiple games the night before (*** 3rd) with the same squad of friends until about 4:00 am in the morning and had no issues even winning 2 games. I have never in my 12 years of playing Call of Duty hacked, been banned/muted or accused of cheating. I did not even know that hacking was possible on a console and thought it was a PC only thing. I have appealed the ban and received a final decision that my account is gone and cannot be lifted. With no further explanation I have been accused of unauthorized software and manipulation of game data. My appeal has been denied with a generic message stating it is final and perm bans are final. I did some more research to find a battlenetwork account linked to my ******************** account and have no idea who or when this could have been done but suspect it was when I was asleep to when I started my PS5 up to play again which was between the times of 4:30 am *** 4th/2024 - 10:00 pm *** 4th/2024. I strongly believe my account has been compromised and hacked and have been trying to re-secure it with further security features but cannot as I am now permanently banned. I have I really hope activision looks into this and helps me as Ive invested A LOT of time and MONEY into the account and have been a loyal customer for YEARS. My current stats and previous gameplays should be more then enough to prove I am just another casual player that just wants to enjoy the game I paid for and continue to spend a lot of my hard earned money on.
