DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! They claim no contract, no commitment, cancel any time; however, they will not provide any prorated refunds after they take payment. So you pay for a year, and try to cancel with no refunds......This is THE definition of a 1 year commitment!! I used phone.com for 1 year and was unimpressed with the company. I received spam calls CONSTANTLY and the blocking feature never synced up properly between my phone.com ap and their website. I finally had to block people on my main cell phone line so that when the call was fwd'd to my cell it would block the number before ringing to my cell. Additionally, I often had issues with calls connecting - I would dial and nothing would happen. So when I finally found something cheaper and better, I decided to switch. I was only 2 weeks into my auto renewed yearly payment with phone.com when my phone number got ported out and they were unwilling to provide any discount whatsoever. Yet upon cancelling, their email says "please come back and get 20% off the next 6 months...." Company lies, attempts to steal your money and operates with horrible customer service. Be warned!Review from Robert C

WORST DECISION EVER!!! I used phone.com for 2 years. When my business was bought out, they ported the number to their phone system. I was charged the full annual rate and called in to question the charge. They told me too bad so sad. "We don't ever refund any money that has been charged". They told me that porting the number away wasn't a cancel and that I would still have to pay. I tried to cancel but he told me he was unable to cancel the account and I would have to call back in ***** hours to speak to the cancellation department.Review from John S

Phone.com does allow customers to cancel accounts. We have no contracts and customers can cancel any time. However, in order to protect our customers from unauthorized account cancellation, which can result in the loss of a business phone number, we must verify the identity of the account owner before canceling the account.Review from Tamar O

I was searching for business-strength VOIP phone service. I was given free phone service by Phone.com for a few weeks, and it was suitable, so I pre-paid for the next 12 months. Paying yearly was their business style. March 2022, I was billed $172.84 USD. The first 12 months with Phone.com was uneventful, since I had few calls and no complaints.March 2023, I pre-paid $205.80 USD for another 12 months. The trouble began immediately after my March 2023 payment, when Phone.com suddenly gave me horrible phone service. It is impossible to conduct personal or professional business, due to the consistent sound distortion. Useful business-focused features disappeared from the dashboard, and worse than that, call quality became consistently horrible, so that whoever I called would hang up. This happened all the time. Always, the other person heard an echo and I could not hear what the other person was saying. I want to emphasize that none of these sound distortions previously occurred. Then June 2023, 3 months after paying, Phone.com emailed me saying that beginning July 1, 2023, I would no longer have texting service, unless I paid an additional $20 USD. My texting service was discontinued July 1, 2023. I have not been able to send out a text message since July 1, 2023. Eight months later, after paying, I have still not been given suitable phone service. It is useless phone service. I have not been given any refund. Personally and financially, I have suffered overwhelmingly, with far-reaching inconvenience. Phone.com has cheated me, not provided the service that I paid for, and has stolen money from me.Review from Brian T

Do not use this company. I paid for a year in advance and everything was good until about 8 months in, when i receive micro charges on my account. I disputed these with my bank, which they are still looking into. Since I filed a claim on these charges, Phone.com proceeded to cancel my phone service within 3 days of this with no compensation to my 4 remaining months. I filed a dispute with my credit card company for these charges but unfortunately too much time has passed and i am unable to get any of my money back. i will never work with these guys again and i had multiple numbers for my business thru them. if you dont listen to me, at a minimum, DO NOT pay in advance!Review from Jordan L

After months of outages on all my company phone with no technical support, I finally canceled my account after moving to another service. Phone.com did not return any pro-rated money despite the fact that I had paid for a year and was only 6 months into that year. Wow!Review from Ben I

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! They will not allow you to cancel your account. They will keep raising your **** as well without informing you. We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience. We canceled the account and we hope you find a service that better fits your needs. When a customer wants to cancel, our goal is to help them do so as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, unauthorized requests for cancellation are common and we must carefully validate account ownership to protect our customers from losing their valuable business phone numbers. All changes to the price of our service are communicated to customers in advance. However, the total amount of each monthly **** may vary due to taxes and fees that change frequently.Review from Dan S

This is SCAM company. Do not do business with them! We had turnover in the company and had to cancel two of the phone numbers. We contacted them from the accounts as account administrators and asked for cancellations. They kept emailing us back to get the employees to call them, the cancellation could not be done through email. How do you get an employee who is no longer with the company to call them, especially when the credit card belongs to the company, not the employee?! I finally got one of the former employees to call. He said he had to wait too long for a representative and didn't have time for that. Stay away! Do not buy into the phone.com scam!Review from Ronald P

For the 24 hours day (and likely for at least 5 days) our company confirmed phone.com has failed to activate our 800 service that was ported to PHONE.COM from another carrier.Five days ago our company was sent an email stating our 800 phones number were ported from another carrier and activated at PHONE.COM. After NOT receiving any 800 calls for a few days, we called our 800 numbers and found that all of our 800 numbers rang busy. Getting a busy signal was impossible because the phone number that our 800 numbers was suppose to be ported to can handle multiple calls at the same time. Shocked, we immediately emailed phone.com and got an apology email response a day later. When we again checked our 800 numbers, we again found they were STILL not forwarded. Now all 800 calls were going to an unknown voice mail system for which we had no access and no intention of having EMERGENCY CALLS to our company ever BEING IGNORED or going to voice mail. We are a home security monitoring company with thousands of homes we monitor for fire, theft, medical emergencies, etc. If our phone systems do not work, people *** die, homes *** burn down, police *** be dispatched for a false alarm, etc. The impact of PHONE.COM not activating our 800 emergency system for several days means that PHONE.COM's negligence has created a huge liability and negative impression of our company's operations. As of the filing of this complain (a day after contacting ******), our 800 numbers are still going to a voice mail somewhere. Do you want your business in the hands of a phone Company that *** randomly shut down all of your incoming calls for a prolonged period or *** fail to properly install, operate or maintain your phone system? If ****** was in fact telling us the truth, then PHONE.COM's ENTIRE 800 SYSTEM MUST HAVE BEEN DOWN FOR 24 HOURS. What kind of reputable phone company shuts down their entire 800 service for days?I believe that what *** have actually happened here is that Glady's *** have been misled, using excuse the 800 system was down, by PHONE.COM engineers who NEGLIGENTLY did not set up our 800 service to promptly forward our 800 calls to our main phone system. Even if this is true, PHONE.COM in our opinion lacks integrity by NOT admitting to such negligence and fixing the problem immediately.
