I am filing a complaint with the BBB regarding a dispute centered on poor communication and service from my HOA, Affinity Group. Despite paying monthly dues on time, my maintenance requests, calls, and emails have been consistently ignored. The communication issues range from failing to schedule meetings with homeowners for major projects like potential roof replacements, to not being able to add my spouse to a simple email list. Service issues range from ignoring maintenance requests submitted over 7 months ago.Starting in 2024 I had to pay an increased HOA rate due to the "current reserve study being too low" and "some funds are saved in reserve for this but not enough. So its expected that there will be a deficit. The ******************************* process at this time. The new update when completed, will reveal the deficit amount."That message was sent in November 2023, and I have yet to receive any updates about the revised reserve study. When you pay a business monthly, you expect a certain level of service and communication, which is currently lacking.
