            Low battery warning light came on in vehicle. Called Land Rover 800 # for Land Rover San Diego. Spoke to Rep ** who told me that warning is considered an emergency and I need to go in for service. Called back for hours and spoke to Rep ** who transferred me to the ******************* Rep ** was able to fully describe the problem without me saying nothing more than it is a battery issue but told me that even though the service was covered by warranty, there ware no appointments until November (when the warranty will expire). Since I cannot safely drive my car with a low battery warning light, I brought the vehicle in on 9/18/23 at 2:30p to get the battery replaced at my cost. The battery was replaced but after a few minutes of driving, the light was on. Apparently, the complementary service check and the new installation did not address the issue. I paid for a new battery that I did not need, and the service check was apparently not a check because it did not resolve the problem or even acknowledge it.

            My wife and I went car shopping here, and we were very pleased up until we went into the finance office. We were very straight forward with the finance team, and let them know that my wife just received a phone call that her grandfather was dieing, and that we would have to leave and comeback with our insurance check from the car that was recently totalled. ****** (Finance manager) was rather persistent and told us that the hard work was done, and we would only be another 2-3 minutes, so we waited. About 25 minutes goes by, my wife is practically in tears becasue we literally had to leave to go visit her grandfather before the worst happened, and that's when the deal started to change. Mind you, we were waiting on a check for 40k from the insurance company, so all my wife and I were supposed to do was look at cars today, but the dealer made it seem like if we drove it off the lot today, we could simply pay for the vehicle in full once we received our check and we wouldn't have to worry about paying the interest. I even told **************** ****** that we couldn't call our insurance and switch it over becasue it was too late in the day.... So ****** said to us, and I will quote her "Oh no, you don't have to worry about that, ***** is coming in with your plates right now, and you will be on the dealers insurance for 10 days" me: "Wait so we don't have to call our insurance company? what if we get into an accident?" Cherry: "Nope. we got you covered, once this temp plate goes on your vehicle the dealerships insurance covers everything". However, what the dealership didn't expect was for my wife to run something over in the middle of the highway, on our way home from the dealership causing almost 10k worth of damage. Mywife contacted the dealer, we told them we wanted to submit a claim to their insurance company and guess what........ They lied to get us into the car, there was no insurance so they sold us a car illegally.

            We regret the unfortunate incident that the customer had running something over on the highway on the way home from the dealership, but are glad they were both safe.Regarding insurance coverage for the damage caused in this incident, our polices and documentation clearly state that the owner/purchaser of the vehicle is responsible for furnishing insurance. We are happy to provide a copy of the signed document indicating such. We are also here to help you with any documentation that *** be require to process a claim with your insurance provider. Based on your feedback, there *** have been a misunderstanding between the legally required automobile insurance policies that cover the vehicle and other liabilities in the event of accident or theft, versus the optional insurance related products we offered during the finance process.
