    9/10/08Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. has informed the Better Business Bureau that the "Ashley Furniture" name is being used on the Internet by someone not associated with Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., to perpetrate work-at-home and counterfeit check scams. Between November 2007 and August 2008, the company has received almost 8,000 inquiries from consumers who have received bogus email messages from scammers pretending to represent Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. Generally, the scam email message informs consumers of a fictitious work-at-home position as an Ashley Furniture accounts receivable employee. Consumers who responded to the scam were sent counterfeit checks by the scammers, were instructed to deposit the counterfeit checks into their personal accounts, to deduct a commission, and to wire the remainder to someone representing themselves to be an "Ashley Furniture Representative". These bogus job offers and the people perpetrating these scams are NOT affiliated with or connected to Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. The company does not offer work-at-home jobs. If you have received one of these suspicious email messages, Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., would like you to forward the email message to [email protected]. Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., has also posted a response page on its website http://www.ashleyfurniture.com/Feedback/OnlineScam.aspx .If you are the recipient of one of these bogus, work-at-home job offers, here is some advice from the BBB: * If the "company" sends you a check, asks you to deposit it into your personal account, and wire funds overseas, stop immediately. This is a red flag that the check is counterfeit.* Don't assume that the check is legitimate just because your bank accepts it for deposit. It may take weeks for the bank to learn it's counterfeit. *If the check is counterfeit, you will owe the bank the amount of the check that was deposited over your endorsement (plus any applicable penalties). You're the one that is ultimately liable to your financial institution. *You will not be able to recover your funds from the money wire service. Once the money has been sent, it's gone!*If you are a victim of this scam, you should contact your local law enforcement agency.

    Ashley - ***************************************************. Telephone: ************. Transaction Date - 7/12/24 8:21 pm. Sales ********************* ******** Spent $12,945.98. Sales Order number - *********, *********, *********. Arrival Date was 7/20/24. Case Number - ********. The Dresser: item number - B768-31, serial number - ************ was DAMAGED -chip/dented on the top of the dresser so I looked on the back of my receipt for the Sales Order Terms and Conditions states - "you MUST contact ************* at ************** within three (3) business days of delivery if you item is damaged or defective, and we will work with you to repair, replace, or pick-up the item." So I immediately called the customer care number the same day that the dresser arrived DAMAGED. The customer care person told me to respond to the email with pictures, serial number, etc. and I sent it and they schedule a "technician" to come on July 27th. On the 27th the "technician" came and offer to put **** on the black wood dresser to fix the damaged which was a terrible solution offer and I decline the solution and wanted a refund so the "technician" called his "dispatch" to talked to him and the "dispatch" person told go to the store as they will handle the refund. On the delivery receipt it also note that the "technician" told me to go to the store for the refund (I have attached it). After the "technician" left I called the customer care again to let them know what happen and spent on the phone with them for 40 plus minutes where they kept refusing me my refund and kept forcing me to take a replacement. After refusing and being escalated to their "supervisor" that person said they will called the store and call me back and never did. After waiting from 9am to 3pm, I went to the store and they told me to call corporate which was the same customer care number. I have been going back and forth with the store and customer care phone number as they directed me and realize they are just bouncing me around.

    Will never again purchase from Ashley! Regarding Ashley Homestore in ********, ******* on 98n. If I could give negative stars, I would! My husband and I purchased new furniture in August 2023. In May 2024 I noticed that the couch and loveseat were both extremely faded in multiple spots. I contacted the store and they referred me to customer service. I contacted customer service and a tech was sent out to look at the furniture. He agrees it looked bad after less than 1 year. He mentioned that this exact furniture is no longer available so I would probably have to do a reselection and get something else or store credit. I then received an email that the tech noted my furniture was up to manufacturing standards and there was nothing they could do. After this, the reclining chair completely stopped working as well. I called them back again and explained my frustration and that now the chair was not working. They said they would send another tech out, but then I got another email that the furniture was up to standards. It's clearly not and the tech agreed with me verbally. We spent nearly $6000 on this purchase and we want furniture that's not faded in multiple spots and broken. We cannot get a resolution to this issue. My last complaint I submitted was closed stating they would contact me and I accepted and no one has reached out and it has been weeks. I have called back to customer service and cannot get any help.
