We are thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for the esteemed Torch Awards for Ethics. This prestigious award celebrates businesses that not only uphold exceptional ethical standards but also make a positive impact on our community.
Whether you're a business, a customer, or a community member who has witnessed outstanding ethical behavior, your nomination can help recognize a deserving company. No matter the size or industry, eligible companies are encouraged to submit nominations or apply for one of the following awards:
Torch Awards for Ethics
The Torch Awards for Ethics are more than just an honor—it symbolize excellence, integrity, and a commitment to ethical business practices. They shine a spotlight on companies that go above and beyond in their interactions with customers, employees, vendors, and the broader community.
Eligibility requirements: For-profit and non-profit 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) of any size within the BBB Serving Northeast California's 24-county service area. See all eligibility requirements.
Spark Award
Recognizing trustworthy entrepreneurs, startup founders, and new business owners who demonstrate a higher level of character, generate a culture of trust that is authentic about its mission, and connect with their community.
Eligibility requirements: At least one business owner under the age of 35, OR business is less than 3 years in operation (as of September 16, 2024).
Community Collaborator Award
This award recognizes organizations that have made significant contributions to fostering collaboration and building stronger communities.
Eligible organizations: Property Based Improvement District (PBID), Chamber of Commerce, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), etc.
A distinguished panel of independent judges, including respected business leaders and BBB representatives, will meticulously review all nominations to select the finalists. These exceptional businesses will be honored at a special ceremony, where they will receive well-deserved recognition on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Dante Club in Sacramento.
