BBB Metro NY Alert: Customers say Baby Blue Florist cancels orders, doesn’t refund

New Yorkers are being warned about an online flower delivery service that consumers say canceled their orders and then failed to refund payments. Baby Blue Florist LLC has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau Serving Metropolitan New York, and BBB is issuing an alert after multiple customers filed complaints at BBB.org.

“You may not expect to have difficulties when purchasing flowers online, but time and money can be lost without first doing your research into the legitimacy and reliability of the business,” said Claire Rosenzweig, President & CEO of the Metro New York BBB®. “To avoid disappointment, it pays to see what others have reported to BBB about a florist before placing your order.”

The company claims an Oyster Bay, Long Island address, but we found no evidence of a florist there in May. The empty building appeared to be under construction.

Baby Blue Florist has been misrepresenting itself as being a BBB Accredited Business on its website. BBB Metro New York issued several cease-and-desist demand notifications, which were sent to the business. Baby Blue Florist has not yet responded or complied with BBB's demands.

Since April 2023, when BBB published its first report on the company, consumers have submitted 26 Scam Tracker reports on our website.

Consumer complaints filed with us noted that after placing their orders with Baby Blue Florist, the company reached out to say they could not deliver flowers to the customers’ areas and would issue refunds. However, according to many of these complainants, the company did not issue a refund when promised.

Other complainants alleged their orders simply never showed up.

As of August 3rd, 22 closed complaints had been filed with BBB about the business, 11 of which have closed unanswered. BBB Metro New York continues to process complaints that appear to refer to Baby Blue Florist.
