In a sudden and unexpected move, several formal wear retail stores across the country closed their doors, leaving employees without work and customers without their expected orders.
As of August 29, 2023, Savvi Formalwear has failed to respond to complaints filed by consumers with the Better Business Bureau.
BBB has received recent complaints from consumers who have been left without the products they paid for, coupled with the inability to get a response from the companies at the center of these complaints.
According to Savvi Formalwear, LLC’s website, the stores affected by this closure are the stores that were owned and operated by Tip Top Tux LLC (TTT, LLC), including Dapper & Dashing (MN), Nedrebo’s (WI), Al’s Formal Wear (TX, CO), American Commodore (OH), Dream Dress (IA), Anya Bridal (GA), Tip Top Tux (IA, KS, NE, SD) and ONLY the Atlanta Savvi Formalwear stores.
TTT, LLC was the owner of the Atlanta Savvi Formalwear stores. All other Savvi Formalwear stores are independently owned and unaffiliated with TTT, LLC.
Specifically, TTT, LLC, the owner of the Atlanta Savvi Formalwear stores, filed for bankruptcy on August 11, 2023, in the Northern District of Georgia.
