BBB Warning: Beware of purchasing products from Health Central USA

The Better Business Bureau® is warning consumers about Health Central USA, a company that sells various health products online. BBB serving Dallas, Lubbock and Wichita Falls investigated Health Central USA in early 2022 after the peak of the baby formula shortage. This company caught the attention of BBB when it was advertising baby formula at a discounted price without a limit. Today Health Central USA is using the same tactic of following what is currently top of mind with consumers. Recent complaints speak about orders for health and wellness products, perfectly fit for New Year’s Resolutions.
BBB has been unable to verify if this is a legitimate business. The company claims a North Texas address which the investigation revealed was a virtual address. BBB was unable to locate an active business registration.
BBB has received 134 complaints since opening our file in May of 2022 and has 12 pending cases since November. Complaints are from 41 states and most of them tell BBB about unfulfilled orders after being charged.
One recent complainant told BBB, “I ordered some protein back in June 2023. They charged my credit card, but never sent a confirmation email, never shipped any product. Finally, after a few weeks, I cancelled the order and I believe disputed the charge. I was refunded my money. I then ordered some body lotion in November 2023. The exact same problem! I never received a confirmation email on my order or any shipping information. So, I contacted their customer service via their email (as before), and nothing. So, I have now cancelled This order and have disputed the charge on my credit card.”
“This is a perfect example of why the BBB online shopping advice instructs consumers to do their research prior to ordering. We wish all consumers would simply put BBB in front of a company name to find our reports and information prior to entering their credit card number on a website. We issue ratings on businesses and would like for this ‘F’ rating to have prevented recent complainants from having the same bad experience as so many others”, stated Monica Horton, BBB Spokesperson.
BBB wants consumers to shop confidently online by visiting BBB’s online shopping HQ.
