Better Business Bureau® (BBB®) St. Louis has revoked BBB Accreditation of McGrath Fulton CDJR of Fulton, MO, for violating BBB’s Accreditation Agreement.
BBB’s Executive Committee took these actions on April 16, 2024, upon recommendation of its Standards and Compliance Committee.
BBB contacted McGrath Fulton CDJR on numerous occasions between September 16, 2023, and March 27, 2024, regarding a consumer complaint that alleges failure to provide a refund. The company has not responded to BBB’s outreach. BBB asked McGrath Fulton CDJR for its resignation as a BBB Accredited Business, but the company did not provide it.
BBB Accredited Businesses are required to respond to customer complaints and BBB inquiries, to make a good faith effort to resolve complaints, to honor arbitration decisions and to advertise honestly. Failure to do so is considered prejudicial to the best interests of BBB and private enterprise.
“Revocation of BBB Accreditation status is unfortunate. However, BBB takes enforcement of its standards very seriously,” said Michelle L. Corey, BBB St. Louis president and CEO. “Applicants for BBB Accreditation also must meet BBB standards and can be denied BBB Accreditation if they fail to comply.”
BBB Standards of Accreditation are designed to offer consumers confidence before they make purchasing decisions. Consumers are urged to go to BBB.org to search for BBB Business Profiles or find contact information for their local BBB.
