The Better Business Bureau North Central Texas warns about an online retailer who has failed to respond to BBB or its customers. The retailer, WedTrend.com, claims to specialize in bridesmaid, wedding, and prom dresses. BBB would like wedding and prom goers to research the retailer before ordering. Researching will avoid tarnishing that special occasion by WedTrend.com's bad business practices.
BBB developed a report and issued an “F” rating on WedTrend.com upon receiving complaints beginning in January of this year. BBB investigators found that consumers purchased dresses that were not received, had the wrong fit, or had the wrong color. Other consumers report that the delivery was not delivered within the period advertised on the website. Requests for a full refund for an item not received or an item returned to the company are ignored.
One recent consumer told BBB, “On March 29, 2024, I placed an online order from wedtrend.com for a prom dress. Before placing my order, I read all the fine print about processing and shipping time frames as well as cancellation policy. I anticipated two weeks for processing and then my dress would ship. After two weeks and hearing nothing from the company I reached out through the customer service link on the website and have gotten no reply. I have emailed three times since and still have heard nothing from the company. The company drafted the funds from my account on April 1st”.
