Movers on the Go is a family-owned, full-service moving company in Revere, MA, and it has served commercial and residential clients in the Boston area since 1997. After spending years working for one of the major national moving companies, founder Domenic Fazio decided to branch out on his own and take a more personal approach to the moving industry in Massachusetts. During our conversation, the small business owner provided insight into how his company has changed since he started.
In the 1990s, large-scale operations dominated the moving industry, often treating customers like just another shipment. This impersonal approach was something that Fazio while working for a big company, found to be lacking. He envisioned a more personalized approach that would understand each customer's unique needs and support them throughout the relocation process. This vision led to the creation of Movers on the Go.
Over the years, Movers on the Go has relocated thousands of individuals, families, and businesses throughout the region. In addition to moving furniture and boxes, the business can move heavy items up to 800 pounds, such as safes and pianos. The company also offers packing services, storage units, and long-distance transport.
Movers on the Go prides itself on providing personalized service from start to finish, ensuring that every moving aspect is carefully planned and executed. “Before moving day, our team assesses and addresses any potential concerns, giving customers peace of mind throughout the process,” Fazio said. His team also strives for professionalism, efficiency, and care when handling people’s belongings during every job.
When asked what success for his business looks like, the entrepreneur said, “repeat clients and referrals.” He noted that customers have used his company's services multiple times, demonstrating their trust in him and his employees.
Fazio enjoys living and working in the Boston area and appreciates its diversity. When on the job, he likes “meeting new people” and being his own boss. Additionally, supporting the community is also important to Fazio. “We do lot of charity and benefits,” he said.
