The Better Business Bureau serving Chicago and Northern Illinois is proud to announce entries, and nominations are now open for BBB's most distinguished business recognition, the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics. Considered one of the most powerful business brand-building awards, the Torch Awards are only given to about ten businesses annually. They are a beacon to the marketplace, and your company operates with elite standards for ethics and trust.
The Torch Awards are open to all for-profit Chicago and Northern Illinois-based businesses that have been in operation for three years or more. For younger companies in business for 1-3 years, there is also a Firestarter Award as a part of the Torch contest.
"The Torch Award is the highest honor the Better Business Bureau can present to a company," says Steve J. Bernas, president & CEO of the BBB. "Torch Award winners consistently demonstrate the highest ethical standards toward customers, employees, and the communities in which they do business.”
Businesses will be evaluated for ethics and integrity based on four key criteria. The four C’s are how companies emphasize Character, Culture, Customers, and Community. The award can be promoted and showcased for years.
Anyone is welcome to nominate a company for a BBB Torch Award. Businesses are also invited to self-nominate. All nominees, nominators, entrants, and past winners will be invited as our guests to a Torch networking celebration to be announced soon.
All nominees, nominators, entrants, and past winners will be invited as our guests to a Torch networking celebration on Thursday, 9/19, at 2112 Creative Industries Incubator from 6 to 8 p.m.
Enter today at BBB.ORG/CHICAGOBUZZ | Entry deadline: Wednesday, 9/11 at 5 p.m. CDT.
