Better Business Bureau Great West + Pacific Welcomes Briana McKown to Board of Directors
(BBB GWP)
Better Business Bureau Great West + Pacific (BBBGW+P) announced the appointment of Briana McKown to its board of directors. McKown, a business and design strategy leader at Cisco, joins a group of 18 board members representing BBBGW+P’s eight-state service area, which includes Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, western Wyoming, and central Colorado.
As a seasoned strategist with an educational background in finance, McKown is known for blending conventional strategic frameworks with design thinking, a process she honed during her time at California College of the Arts and IDEO. Her approach to solving complex business challenges and developing new products and services makes her a valuable addition to the board.
“Briana’s connections within the Montana business community and her expertise in innovation, finance, and strategy make her a perfect fit for our board of directors,” said Tyler Andrew, president and CEO of BBB Great West + Pacific. “She will be an asset as we continue to enhance BBB’s services in Montana and across our service area. We are excited to learn from her insights and grateful for her commitment to our organization.”
McKown’s leadership experience spans over two decades, including non-profit involvement as a vice president of the American Business Women’s Association (ASU Chapter) and later as secretary for the Venture Club of Phoenix. She recently moved to Bozeman, Montana, and looks forward to active participation in the local business and design communities.
“Spending the last seven years living in rural Montana while staying connected to a broad network of business owners has given me a unique perspective on the challenges and needs of rural consumers and small businesses,” McKown said. “This is an exciting opportunity to leverage those insights, along with my experience in innovation, strategy, and operations at some of the world’s most respected companies, to help BBB build trust and transparency in the marketplace.”
