BBB St. Louis: BBB Springfield to recognize five companies at 2024 Torch Awards for Ethics event

Better Business Bureau St. Louis will present Torch Awards for Ethics to five businesses and a Student of Ethics Award to one student at a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at the Old Glass Place.
“We’re looking forward to honoring these businesses and a student for the positive impact they’re having on their customers and communities. Not only are they committed to exceptional service and high ethics, but they’re encouraging others to follow their lead,” said Pamela Hernandez, BBB Springfield Regional Director.
Christine Morton, social media strategist, will be the keynote speaker. Blake Haynes, co-host and producer of Ozarks Live, will emcee the event.
Five companies will be recognized for their commitment to exceptional ethics and service:
- Branson/Springfield Roof Co. is a family-owned business providing roofing installation, repairs, and other exterior needs like gutters and siding to consumers and businesses in southwest Missouri. “We have worked hard to provide quality roofing products and excellent customer service. We are so grateful for this recognition of those efforts, and we look forward to continuing our contribution to make our communities better by giving back with time and finances,” said Daniel Koren, owner.
- Dale’s Roofing Inc. has served customers in the Ozarks for over 30 years with residential and commercial roofing repair, replacement, and maintenance. “We're grateful to be recognized by the BBB for the hard work and experience that we put into our business,” said Dale Rector, owner.
- Friga Construction Co. Inc. has been in business for over 39 years, providing quality commercial building construction in southwest Missouri. “We are very humbled and honored to be selected as a winner of the BBB Torch Award for Ethics. It is an accomplishment that showcases our true dedication to maintaining the high standards of the BBB,” said Eric Friga, president and CEO.
- Julian’s Heating and Air LLC is a locally- and family-owned HVAC business serving Rogersville and surrounding communities. “Julian's Heating and Air, LLC is deeply honored to receive the Torch Award for Ethics, as it reflects our unwavering commitment to integrity and excellence in service. This recognition reinforces our dedication to building trust within the community and setting high ethical standards in the HVAC industry,” said Holly Julian, co-owner.
- Top Tier Kitchens & Baths helps customers in southwest Missouri to remodel their kitchens or baths to the best of their dreams with design, installation, and more. “All the effort we put into treating our customers and employees correctly has been recognized, and it feels wonderful. It's a great benefit for us to stand out from our competition and offer a legitimate solution to our customers’ problems that they can trust – and hopefully, we can help more of them in the future,” said Ben Berger, owner.
One high school student will be honored with the Student of Ethics Award and receive a $2,500 scholarship:
- Anna Claire Ross, Glendale High School, Springfield, Mo.
Lakeland Behavioral Health System is the Premier Sponsor for the 2024 Springfield Torch Awards for Ethics. US Bank is the Student of Ethics Sponsor. Rottler Pest Solutions and Craig Automotive Services will support the event as Partner Sponsors.
