Be informed, educated and ready:
- Check with your insurance company now about what is covered, how to file a claim if necessary and any deductibles.
- Find a company and look up company reports at www.BBB.org or call BBB at 806-379-6222. It’s free, fast and informative. Check BBB Business Profiles to get to know the company before you do business with them. Don't sign anything or pay money for work that has not started yet or for a down payment.
- BBB Accredited Businesses have agreed to the BBB Standards for Trust which means they stand by their word, are trustworthy and if they receive a complaint, they have agreed to do all they can to resolve it. Ask for an industry list of accredited businesses or find one at BBB.org.
- Obtain bids from several companies. Review the bids and compare services. Remember, the lowest bid is not always the best deal. The company’s ability to complete your job and the working relationship is also important.
