            As of October 16, 2023, Liberty Mutual has agreed to pay approximately $7.7 million to 86,506 policyholders for auto and homeowner insurance policies as a result of an investigation by the Department of Commerce, which alleged that Liberty Mutual violated several state insurance regulation laws. The consent order involves Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and several other subsidiaries of Liberty Mutual that are licensed to do business in Minnesota.

              The insurer chose to non-renew the policy, for no reason and without providing any evidence. I found other coverage, no problem. The insurer then renewed the policy anyway and charged me. I did not authorize this renewal. They had already refused to renew the policy, I had already found other coverage. I told them this about a half a dozen times. They then "cancelled" the non-existent policy for non-payment... This is not what occurred. If they mistakenly renewed the policy they need to correct that on their end, not bill me and then claim I didn't pay. There is no policy here to pay, there is no policy here to cancel. This is absurd. This could have been corrected some time ago if they had not ignore every attempt I made to get them to fix their mistake.
