My 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland fried the alternator which caused damage to the battery and the Power Control Modulator. At my trusted shop all parts were replaced including a repaired PCM however engine codes continued and the vehicle was taken to a Jeep dealership to get a new factory PCM. As someone who clearly had my interests in mind he single-handedly saved my vehicles worth from a parts supplier to one worth not only its true monetary value but to me emotionally as only its second owner.
