On February 16th, 2022 I received an inspection report from Auto House for a 2013 Sorento, which they obtained from Affordable Auto Repair. Everything on the report was checked off as compliant. I then purchased the vehicle on February 17th and almost immediately noticed a squealing/chirping sound on my drive home. I notified the dealer and was told to bring the car to Affordable Auto to look at it. The problem was the brakes, which they replaced prior to purchase, were not done properly and needed to be adjusted. This was fine, as I caught it right away and they fixed the problem. They replaced the tires about a month after, which was an offer from the dealership, and while I was there I had them look at the windshield wiper nozzle. Shortly after I purchased the car I noticed the spray was very faint and at times non-existent. The windshield wipers were checked off on their report as compliant, so this wasn't accurate. These were all just minor issues at this point. Fast forward to about a month after purchase, I started noticing some more issues. The main issue was that the car seemed very bouncy and creaky when I would drive over even the slightest bump. On March 14th I took the car to Fountain Tire, as I have used them for years and they are very trustworthy. They did an inspection and brought several issues to my attention, some of which were serious. The more minor issues they found were the washer nozzle, the engine oil was almost black, and the air filters were way past the point of needing to be changed. The major issues were that the rear and front struts and shocks needed to be replaced, the intake boot for the engine needed to be replaced, and the ball joint was loose. The ball joint was a serious issue as that can come loose while driving and be extremely dangerous. I had Fountain Tire fix the ball joint as this was serious, and Auto House repaired the rest at their shop. I left a review for Affordable Auto telling them this and they argued with me.
