We wish we had never dealt with ********************* or his company. He took our grandfather clock face, pendulum, chimes for cleaning in September, saying it would be 10 days to a couple of weeks. After several weeks he called to say it needed parts, which we agreed to. It was promised by the middle of November, then the end of November and then early December, and then he called on December 23 with the suggestion he could come Christmas Eve **** which we did not want. When he finally arrived to re-assemble the clock, in the middle of January, after 4 -5 hours being here, he was unable to anchor the face back into clock, mount the chimes, or set the strikers. He left saying he would return in two days, which didn't happen, We had to call him to remind him. In the meantime, fortunately, my husband had worked on mantle and cookoo clocks in the past, was able to put everything back together and set the chimes and striker melody. We paid for the work as requested, approximately $1,700.00 and he told us the invoice would be provided by return e-mail, marked as paid with the breakdown. It is now several weeks later and we haven't received an invoice. After several unanswered e-mails, in a phone call made to him February 10, it was excuses, excuses, excuses. We want this invoice, in case we decide to sell the clock or pass it on to family, as it is currently valued at $12,000.00 for insurance purposes. Do not use this man or his business for your clock repairs. Very unreliable and expensive.
