my bankrutpcy company Bromwich and Smith got my climate incentive action payment of $****** in error because I had been discharged from them since **** of 2023 and my trustee at the bankruptcy notified CRA *********************** in **** of 2023 that they have no interest on taking my climate incentive action payments and then out of no where Bromwich and Smith took my climate incentive action payment on Jan ****, **** and I spoke to CRA and they told me it was sent in error to them and then when I spoke to ***** and Bromwich and Smith she said that yes they should of not received my action climate incentive payment and that she would mail it back to me! Today on Jan **, **** at **** pm she told me that they are not going to honor it and keep my climate incentive action payment because under their bankruptcy rules the climate incentive action payment is considered an asset! Please get me back my money ,,it is only $****** but I didnt owe to them at all! That is unethical and unprofessional what they did to me and this is a form of *****!Business response

Upon review of this client file, we are indeed refunding the cheque that was directed to us by the *** on error. Our VP *********** is calling the client *** today to let her know that the cheque is indeed being directed back to her and ensure clarity. Typically these refunds are part of the ********** but *** has been discharged. ***** is a new team member and relayed improper information. We will be connecting internally with ***** for further training on this matter.Please let me know if you require anything further from us.Initial Complaint

I filed a consumer proposal through Bromwich and smith trustees. You start making payments to them , immediately after filing. After going through the process of providing information , they held a meeting with my creditor 60 days after filing. The proposal was set up so my creditor received every ***** they asked for. No negotiations were needed, an easy deal to accept and process. They failed to make the deal. Another meeting with the creditors was held , 3 months later. Again, they failed to make the deal. After numerous attempts to get answers , or an update on the status , being ignored for many weeks , they finally responded with I dont know After 6 months of incompetent responses and no action , I cancelled the consumer proposal. The process when you cancel , Is your file gets sent to a superintendent for review and approval. But the laws , and their own literature , states that my money is to be returned to me in a timely manner. With their administrative costs deducted. Again , trying to get an update on the status is useless. Numerous emails and phone inquiries left unanswered. They have no idea where my money is , when it will be returned , or even the status of the superintendent. They are useless . They cant make a simple deal. They cant get any information , they are horrendous at sharing information. I believe this trustee , may be going bankrupt. That would explain why they ignore my inquiries. My money is already gone. Brutal service , incompetent employees , no follow up , ** left completely in the dark in regards to the $**** I have paid them.Business response
