On Sunday, April 3 at 7:30 a.m. we had a minor water leak resulting from our washing machine on the upper floor of our home with water coming through to the floor below via a light fixture (chandelier in ceiling). We immediately called Extreme Quality Restoration based on a ****** search to help mitigate any damage from the water leak. They came to assess the situation and brought in fans to help dry the area on the upper floor around the washing machine and the ceiling on the main floor. They also pulled up carpet and cut out some underlay that was wet (approx ****** sq. ft). They were to return the next day to remove the fans and replace the underlay and put the carpet back, however they cancelled and said they would come the day after instead. (Wednesday). They missed the time they were supposed to show up on Wednesday and called after to reschedule to later the same day. They came and removed the fan equipment and screwed the light fixture back in and said they would come back another day to finish the work. Today (Thursday), we received an astronomically high invoice and the work has yet to be completed. We called the owner to ask for a breakdown of the invoice to which he could not provide. He also hung up on me and has since not answered my calls or texts. We have been given an invoice for 8 hours worth of work (to date there has been no more than 2 hours worth of their time). We are also being charged for an extra day of the equipment, even though they cancelled and did not come remove the equipment when agreed upon. We are hoping to have the BBB help resolve this situation as we are stuck with an unreasonable invoice and work that has not been completed.
