      I was diagnosed with pericarditis. Reached out to have my membership parked , as working out could put me into cardiac arrest right now. I did everything asked of me as they continued to repeatedly pull money from my account which in turn incurred multiple NSF charges. Now , even though they were not authorized to pull money they are refusing to cover the charges that they caused on my account. A gym is a gym. There are many to choose from out there. The customer service and ethics of this company and of their manger Kristine is actually appalling, especially considering that they are supposed to represent HEALTH and Wellness. Seems like the bottom line here is to keep their membership fees even if it costs you your life.

      Looks like, from the solid D- grade on the BBB, others have had a lackluster experience with this organization. *****, the manager at Macleod lied to me about several items (towel service for one, bringing in spin classes (two)). He will tell you whatever you want to hear before you sign up - just to get the sale. Now he just slithers away every time I see him. Regardless, this gym is the best of the worst for the $48 I find it cringingly bearable but barely. Hygenically speaking its a Petri dish of filth, expect athletes foot if you dont wear sandals. And bring smelling salts for the bathrooms (raw sewage smell will make you gag). But the weight equipment is top notch. Most of the cardio machines are broken (sorry).

      These guys are liars *** ******** ******* me into a "month-to-month" membership and reassured me they were monthly payments. Only to find out from a friend that they are in fact bi-weekly payments and the staff member Shae ****** blatantly lied to my face. Then their "General Manager" Chanceline ******* - who is 4 days on the job - reassures me that her staff member (who she's known for a total of 0 days since she was on vacation during her first few days as GM) is not a liar. Then she sat me down in an office with Shae as if I was supposed to hash it out with this employee who is a liar, and even Shae couldn't deny that she lied and I still wasn't reimbursed my "start up fees". They did reassure me in an email that no payments will be withdrawn (first payment would be tomorrow Oct 13) but after reading numerous reviews, I can see this will be a long drawn out process. **** ***** ** * ****. Stay FAR away people! After reading all their reviews ***** **** *** ***** ******* *** ***** ****** ******** I can see why I am left feeling cheated and lied to.

      Terrible experience. I implore that people ***** ***** of GYMVMT. The woman who signed me up was excellent. I agreed signed up. I was with GYMMVNT for 3 months. Someone told me to watch out as they double dip into your bank account. I checked. Sure enough there were extra payments made through my bank account. I went into the gym demanded a cancellation. They told me I could not cancel membership in store as I had to email. I sent email off nothing back from them. They continued taking money. I phoned them told them again of my situation and was 100 percent done. CANCELLED! Another payment was taken out. I had to close down my Bank account open another. Now they have a collection agency after me for ******. Hitting my credit BIG TIME!!! GYMMVNT do not responde with a sorry. People. **** **** **** **** ******** If I could choose no stars I would.

      My review is on GYMVMT at Transcanada Mall in Calgary *********** NE. In September 2021 my wife and me registered after listening to one of the gym staff explanation of the membership rules. Since we come to Calgary once a year we liked the idea that we could freeze membership when w are away and resume when we return. It turns out the freezing promice was a lie to get us to sign a contract. We used the gym for one day and ended up paying more than $500 to cancel and were taken to a collection agency for $90 and demanding us to pay $791. We explained the situation to the collections agency who advised us to talk to them. At the gym we met the manager who rude, unprofessional and completely disrespectful. It is a great facility until you need help. My advice do not sign any contracts. If you do get prepared to deal with an organization that has no values and no respect.

The freeze information can be provided by going to any club and they can explain the requirements and options available for you. If youre concerned about what information the staff member gave you, the best person to connect with is the General Manager of the location who can help review those concerns in more detail.

      Not recommended at all. Horrible customer service. It's not surprising that they have a one star rating.North Hill location has so many fans that are pointed at people directly on their head and neck. I find that very annoying and it has caused me to have stiff back multiple times. When I complained about it to the general manager, he did nothing about it and he said if you don't like that don't come to the gym. He didn't even offer to cancel my contract with no penalty. He said that the decision whether to turn on or off the fans should be based on what the majority of people want and he didn't even ask what the majority want! I also left a feedback in the app and nothing was done about it.

      Avoid to cancel my contract and keep taking my money.I registered and was very excited to join Gymvyt Beacon Hills. They convinced me to use the personal trainer which aligned with what results I was looking for. They talked really good about how flexible they are in case I want to change the trainer or cancel my membership. They even mentioned I don't even have to send any email to cancel the membership rather even a text before the due date would be sufficient for them to cancel my membership.I was so much carried away by all that they explained for an hour that I did not even read the papers and just signed it. :( DO NOT TRUST ANYONE.. I learnt it hard way.Now that my schedule does not allow me to attend any of these sessions or even go to the gym, I am being shown that I have enrolled for a year and if I have to cancel, I will have to pay cancellation fees. I was surprised to hear that which is a complete contradictory statement of what I was told to me while signing up for it.Its not about the money, its all about creditability,I would never recommend anyone to join this GYM.

      Dear Shynaya, sorry youve had difficulty with your membership. The membership agreement is written in a way thats clear and understandable as to what your purchasing. The training agreement also outlines that youre purchasing the sessions and getting access to train them up front and paying them over the year. We do have early cancellation options available to cancel your membership while in term and it looks like the club has explained those to you, so if thats the best option for you that might be the right choice, otherwise wed be happy to try and work with your scheduling to continue having you train your sessions and use the club.

      GYMVMT has the worst services and staff. I have experienced the personal training session with a coach but they changed my time, and more than that, the coach booked with another client at the same time slot. Besides, they don't respond to any your questions. They are scam and just get you fall into the payment. I just terminated my new membership within 14 days guarantee to refund my payment, but it hasn't done yet. The staff told me its should be done by the day I terminate the membership. If someone want to join GYMVMT, please think thoroughly before you sign anything. After you sign, the staff don't care about you.

      If I could I would give GYMVMT no stars. They kept charging me during the pandemic and it was nearly impossible to get a hold of someone to cancel. They said they would give me credit, in which they did not honour. I finally gave up and quit when they lost Edgemont in summer of 2021. All of a sudden, since April, I have been getting charged $150 a month. I have tried multiple times via their contact page on their website and left voicemails. Nothing. Terrible company. Worse customer service. I want a refund.

      I used to love the ******** Mayfield World Health. Then it turned into GYMVMT. Then Covid hit. I was unable to use the gym I was in a high risk group. They recommended freezing my membership which I agreed to. I then became pregnant and was moving so I wanted to cancel my membership and spoke to someone at the Mayfield location who was going to get back in touch with me to sort it all out. Then the location closed. I thought that was that but a few days ago had money withdrawn from my account. For a membership I havent used in 2 years that I thought was cancelled at a location I had never been to. They directed me to a manager who basically said no its not canceled so I canceled it with her but based on what Im reading here Im wondering if it is canceled. I asked for a refund which she said no even though Im a struggling single mom dealing with the effects of covid both financially and health wise. Thanks GYMVMT for adding to my stress. I certainly wont rejoin now its these little things that are telling of a business.
