Please do not put yourself through the pain that will follow purchasing a home from Chandan Homes *** ******* *****. What you can see is well finished and decent quality. What you cannot see is probably missing a lot. ATTIC: We had poor vapor barrier and insufficient insulation. There were several places with no insulation. On our year end inspection, ******* brought in "his best attic guy" who told us everything was perfect. We had water entering into each of our homes (Townhouse style 4 unit condo). We have successfully filed 4 claims through Home Warranty program to have vapor barrier redone, insulation installed were it was missing, insulation added to the entire attic as it was insufficient. ROOF: No frost/ice protection on the roof. All the roof trenches were improperly done. Ventilation was insufficient to prevent excess moisture in attic. HOME WARRANTY replaced the entire roof shingles and redid the intake and exhaust vents. Took over 100 emails and 3 years to Home Warranty to get ALL these results, so not an easy solution...much easier to buy from a different builder. ELECTRICAL FIRE in Junction box due to poor installation. ( Small box attached to our homes that the wires were spliced in). ******* tried to have his electrician fix it. Electrician did not pull the required permit or get an inspection after work was done. Electrician did not install the required grounding bushing than lied to us saying he had. Took some work, but had City of Calgary inspector come out, who made him pull the required permit and inspected the work when he was finished. Electrician was forced to do the job following the electrical code. (did not do this before inspector got involved) C of C requires a trench around some buildings for drainage. On the drawings, but Chandan would not install it. Forced him to put in 1/4 of it. Not a home warranty issue, so too bad. Very deceptive man and practices. This builder is a nightmare. Stay clear. *** ****** 

***...All the work done at these units were up to city code. Everything was inspected and city has a record of it. & all of it we provided you almost five times. As per your different complains about roofing, ventilation and electrical, we try our best to respond you in timely manner and fix it. But as you say some people are hard to impress. You are one of them. As everybody should know that you are president of this condo corp. Most of the issues arise only in your units. Homeowners beside you were absolutely fine.Even though we were fixing the issues, but you still filed the claims and we happily paid it because just for the reason that we didn't want to deal with you.As per you electrical claim you want to get extra stuff done in common area. The city inspections were done prior to possession, But you want to get some extra stuff done on top of the city code. We still puled and paid for the permit, even though city inspection clearly mentioned that it wasn't required. Roof condensation is very common in ******* just because of extreme weather conditions. we almost did more than 100 unit in past 6 year. we didn't have complains like this. we try our best to keep our clients happy and work with their schedule to fix all the problems & learn from it.I am so sorry that you had a terrible experience with this. It wasn't our intention or company policy.
