Absolutely horrible experience. Paid ****** dollars to have one tub with tile, one shower (note: quote did NOT include a journeyman plumber for either bathroom to check plumbing, which I was charged extra for and had to scale back on agreed-upon painting to cover the cost of), and ***** square feet of vinyl planking installed. The shower head installed upstairs was not affixed and was moving all over. When I asked why it was not affixed to a 2 by 4 in the wall (as is standard practice) was told "I didn't want to break a pipe (???)" The showerhead was also leaking and plumbing tape was left visibly on. The shower downstairs cost me $*****. The plumbing was already there, no plumber was required - just ***** for a tile and glass door installation. Upon "completion" and full payment I went to use the shower. The seams were not siliconed and the water flooded my bathroom floor within 20 seconds - an inch of water not leaking but POURING out at the seams. I texted and the owner said he'd come by to fix. He came by, re-siliconed and two days later, the bathroom flooded again. They blamed the glass door manufacturer, although an independent contractor came in and fixed their flood mess by simply installing the door with silicon in the proper place. By the owner's own admission - "I have no idea why the showerhead upstairs or the glass doors downstairs are leaking" - when you are dealing with water in a home - "having no idea" is simply unacceptable. I had to put in an extra $***** just for supplies and labour to have the downstairs bathroom fixed after this horrible work and I am now living in constant fear as they did not hire a plumber as part of their initial $6,500 bathtub/tile replacement upstairs until an issue was noticed nor for the $***** shower replacement downstairs. I have already had flooding downstairs and leaks due to their work. With respect to flooring, I asked if they could install baseboards to about 8 (eight) linear feet which they agreed to as part of the flooring price. For reference: I paid $6,500 for less than ***** sq feet of vinyl planking (which was bought from a supplier of their choice) so I paid a very fair rate of $6.50 per square foot installed. The baseboards were not aligned and completely unfinished - ie: not mitred in corners and when cut, not painted - just left. When I brought this up, I was told "You said you were going to paint the house, you can dap and paint your baseboards." the flooring (especially the stairs) have gaps that were not siliconed. The owner said I didn't bring up these deficiencies yet I have two text messages where I asked about this aand the response was "Yea, we'll do all that when we fix the shower" - all of which was never fixed. I posted a review on ******** and had the owner of the company then brought up very personal details about me and my home on his business page, including dog hair in my home (from my two rescued dogs) and an extremely *********** ******* about my ***** ******* which was untrue, as well as a comment about me being "difficult" (even though asking for a ****** review two weeks prior - I was told I was a great customer. I am now out the money I spent, the money I will have to spend on someone else fixing the work done, and am under severe mental anguish from the ******* ** the owner on social media, as well as the stress of not knowing if and when my house will flood again as no plumber was consulted for the bathrooms. I think contractors need to be heavily regulated in this province. My **** was fully paid, and then I was treated like garbage. Will be exploring seeking damages in small claims. If asked by BBB to verify this review, I have time stamped photos, videos, copies of bank statements of full payment, copies of time stamped messages, screenshots of the owner ridiculing me with language like "bahahaha, do your research," and "lol, what's wrong with that?" (with respect to the unfinished work. I don't want another person to be taken advantage of or have to live in fear that their house will flood after spending $****** and then being left with a giant mess to clean up.
