Had my motorcycle in for repair on 3 specific items. The vendor had my bike for several months. I visited his place of business several times and called on a few other occasions to check on progress. During those visits I was advised of a few other items that needed attention and agreed to those. When I got the final bill, the vendor had done numerous other replacements which I had not asked for or approved. Attempts to negotiate a revised lower billing came to no avail.Business response

The worked performed on the customer's *************************** was explained to the customer in detail and approved by the customer with the exception of one item which was installation of brake pads. The issue seems to be the cost of labour for the repair. Our shop rate has been $150/hr for over a year and comparable to other similar shop rates in *******. We do not do flat rate work. With higher mileage motorcycles problems are identified once work begins and these items were reviewed with the customer before work began. It is unfortunate that inflationary pressures force us to push cost to our customers but we cannot stay in business without covering our costs.
