We hired Mossom Moving Company **** ** **, 2022 to move our 3 bedroom house to another house less than 15 minutes away.1. Mossom Moving company damaged and broke our storm door frame. The man who said was the owner, put blue plastic moving tape on the door frame and informed us that he would return in 2 weeks to repair the frame.2. They packed our kitchen in the old house but in the new house, they unloaded everything on kitchen counters and all over the floor in piles, all mixed up. They were so mixed up that, it took me a very long time to organize and initially, could not even see what was missing until later. They had asked me to go get water for them and I found the piles in a big mess on the floor when I returned from the store with their water.3. Many items are damaged and broken. Our leather couch has scratches, our beds have gouges, and other things that are broken in pieces. They did not bring enough bubble wrap to pack our kitchen. Glasses and fine china pieces were not wrapped individually but wrapped in groups and thus, many were chipped, cracked or broken.4. 2 boxes are missing with long list of items missing. I had many new items for the new house like new sets of bedding, fine linens, new trays, 2 blood pressure monitoring machines....etc, too many to list here.5. I had all the boxes labeled with clear instructions indicating which room they were to be delivered to. All the boxes were mixed up and not in the proper rooms which I found suspicious.When I called the owner the next morning about initial findings of damaged and missing kitchen items, he only said that the truck was empty. He said he would come to the house the same day. He never showed up.I called him again later that day. He said it was moving season and that he will come to fix the door in later in August when it wasn't so busy for him.He never called nor came to the house like he said. He does not answer my calls and does not respond to my messages.Initial Complaint

This is in regards to a move that occurred on June 26th, 2022. The movers initially told us that the move itself would be over in 5-6 hours at the latest, but they took 9 and a half hours instead. (5hrs 10 mins at a Condo that is a 2 bedroom ****sf single floor and 4hrs 20 mins at a house that is 3 floors and ****sf). Many of our belongings were damaged such as our water dispenser, a lamp, etc. Additionally they damaged our drywall in the new house that had new paint and patching done prior to our move in. Furthermore, they initially informed us that if the move itself exceeds 8 hours, they would charge us a flat rate of $860. but instead, they charged us for 9hrs at their hourly price, thus, asked for $1270. However when we questioned that they were going against our agreement on charging us the flat rate of $860 if it the move exceeded 8 hours, they asked for $1200 instead. We have tried numerous times to ask for their insurance providers to help cover the damages and they refuse to provide it to us. This makes us question if they are even properly insured. Also, they did not ask us to sign a formal contract which goes against movers protocol. Lastly, we have tried to come to an agreement on asking them to reimburse us for our damages ($500), but they first refused. However they offered to give us $200 which is not even enough to fix our water dispenser, thus, we refused, but after refusing, they started to ignore our calls and messages. We hope that this will be able to aid us on solving this issue and prevent anyone else to be 'Ripped Off' like this in the future. We simply want $500 for our loss and damages. We personally think that this is more than reasonable. ******** are pictures of some of the damages we have found so far (If needed, we can provide you with more as well as a video of our broken dispenser) considering we have yet to finish unpacking. We fear how many other belongings have also been damaged and hope to get this resolved as soon as possible.
