The new vehicle was purchased from GSL in the spring of 2021. In the winter 2021 it was discovered that the block heater cord was never installed. When we contacted GSL about the missing part they told us that they didn't have the cords at the time we took delivery. If we wanted one they would charge us half price. So the aggravation is that they sold a unit that was lacking components and they now want us to pay for parts to complete the unit. ****** the sales representative has been great through the process but this is a pattern of behaviour from GSL (there was a similar situation with headphones that is outside of the focus of this complaint). It seems that GSL is moving units out the door with little care for customer satisfaction. A contact had a similar occurrence with a **** dealership and they very reasonably corrected their mistake.Business response

To Whom it may concern,
The block heater never came up at time of delivery and the first time it came to our attention was at the beginning of January when the client asked where to find her block heater. ****** the sales person looked into the matter to see if the vehicle was equipped with a block heater. It was relayed to the client through ****** that the vehicle was not equipped with a block heater. The client was not charged for a block heater and it was never relayed to the client that it was equipped with this option. Again the client was never charged for this option as it did not come on this vehicle. We relayed this to the client that the vehicle never came equipped with a block heater thus they were never charged for this option but we were willing to split the cost to add this feature for them which amounted to $400 and we would pay half of this amount. We felt this to be fair as the vehicle was never equipped with this option and the customer never paid for an option they did not receive.
