Sep 22/2021 I met *********************** (owner company Zuperb Property Maintenance) first time at the elevator of the condo ******** ***** where I lived before quite long time. He gave me his business card said in case I need landscaping services in the future. When I move to new address in ****** ** ** in June 2021, I need his services. I tried to contact him on Sep 03/2021.Sep 06/2021 there was a discussion between me and the business owner (*****). There was my brother-in-law presence at the same time of our discussion, he just listened and did not say anything.I told with ***** that I wanted to put the concrete cement pads at my back yard. Then, he inspected and measured my yard. He said it was fine for him to perform the job. But he needed at least 50 pieces concrete pads and black landscaping fabric to finish the job.Discussion of the price project was made at my back yard (at home). ***** provided me the total price include all the materials, dump fee and labor with total 3 men include him were $2100. I made a deal with him of $2000. Finally, we both had agreed with $2000. ***** told me he would go to check the price of materials and let me know.***** did not give any suggestions what he needed to do. He is Ok with what I wanted him to do the job. Sep 08/2021, ***** text me he needed a deposit of 75% ($1500) from $2000 to grab all materials and delivery fees. $500 left he would take when the job finished on the day Sep 22/2021.Deposit expected to do by E-Transfer or cash. I did not know how to do E-transfer. I went to the ******* bought a money order draft $1500 and ***** came to pick it up on Sep 09/2021 as for deposit without receipt for me. He said this evening on same day, he provided me an invoice I though it was fine for me as a receipt.No suggestion was made by the business owner for me. He was agreed what I expected him to do for the job. After receiving the deposit, ***** always had multiples excuses to be late of responding my text questions then keeping apologize. Even on Sep 21/2021, I did not receive any reply to confirm the work start on Sep 22/2021. I kept follow up with him very hard time. Finally, he replied to me work would start on Sep 22/2021 at 11:00 am.Sep 22/2021, I did not see his presence until noon, I contacted him, he said he went to the store for loading 1st trip for the materials and come to do the job and no worry job would finish by today. I felt so ridiculous how work could be finished if he started his work by 3:00 pm. I was very frustrated.Then around 2:50 pm he came with his truck loading materials with another 2 men. It was so horrible there were only 14 concretes pads instead of 50 plus a roll of landscaping black fabric. Thats all. He started to mess up my yard, destroyed by pulling out my black fabric from my yard the portion had been done by my brother-in-law helping me. I though he started his work. Suddenly, he said he needed go home to pick up some tools and come back. But I was waiting so long, never come back.I text him, he said he was miscalculated the materials. He asked me to give another $500 left if I wanted the job finished. He needed more money to grab more materials for miscalculating. I realized he was a cheated company. I refused and advised him I wanted to cancel job. He tried to fool around with me with job cancel refund back and never get back to me for the refund. He disappeared so far.I hope the officers of the BBB Serving Southern AB consumers complaints office understand my statement of the problems had happened to me and help to protect fraud for future customers use this company services. I felt so painful to lose my $1500.Business response

I have agreed to settle the amount due of $860 but in my email back to them I said I can pay in full at the end of this month. I dont want **** to think I have ignored this complaint, nor want her to think she isnt valid in her complaint. I understand my problems that day and want to make it right!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Base on the Zuperb Property Maintenance message below, I am satisfied that the owner accepted to settle the refund back to me of $860 and will pay the end of this January 2022.
I would like to know what type of payment back to me. I prefer to get a check from the owner. By the way, I appreciated the owner understanding to make thing right for this refund $860 back to me.
I want to ensure the owner of Zuperb Property Maintenance refunds me $860 net without taking back the materials that he dropped off at my back yard.14 pieces of cement pads and a roll of landscaping fabric that I mentioned in my complaint report. As all these materials have been included with the owner's labor of total $640 that he deducted in my deposit, a total of $1500 as per his agreement at first time.If the owner of the business sends me a check. Please **** the name ********************* ( as *********************) on the check.Thank you so much for your help and very appreciated.

I am rejecting this response because:the complaint was not resolved as the company owner ***** ****** of Zuperb Property Maintenance did not keep his promise of refunding back to me $860 according to his message on the BBB email website he did. His promise was just a game and made me feel happy for nothing. He did not refund any penny for me at the end. Completely unacceptable and I have to absorb a total of $1500 as was cheating.I was very satisfied with the Service of BBB who tried their best to help me to resolve this problem to get a refund back. I appreciated BBB services.In fact, the owner of this company is the worst and cheated person.
