Emerald is terrible. We will never rent a home that is managed by them again. They have been giving us the run around for two days regarding a broken AC unit in the middle of an "extreme warning". It's pretty emergent for people who work from home. But now that it's the weekend, no one will talk to us until Tuesday. So we are trapped in a heat dome three extra days, because they ignored us for the two days that we were contacting them BEFORE the long weekend.

I have been living out in Legacy at a building "managed" (if you can call it that) by Emerald. If you ever have any idea to rent from a building "managed" by this company...RUN FAR FAR AWAY!!!!I have been living in this building now for the last 6 months and have only actually spent about 3 months living there. Here are some things I experienced:1. Tenants throwing their garbage in the hallways because the elevator was broken down. Said garbage made its way under my front door and my cat ate it. 1400$ later. My cat almost died. They shrugged it off and did nothing.2. Cricket infestations on the 4th floor. Which they sent out warnings about but did NOTHING to resolve. When I told my landlord he wrote back "how unethical" but did nothing. Found them dead in my suite at least once a week.3. My elevators were broken down for the first 3-4 months of me living there. If I forgot something it was 5 sets of stairs to get it. Made me late for work on multiple locations and I'm a manager for my work. 4. I didn't get a working garage door opener for the first 3-4 months, but paid for the spot.5. People ******* in the stairways - so they smell of human urine. Brought this to the attention of ***** (our assigned building "manager") but was only met with an "away from the desk" email and nothing else.6. People shoving their dog p*** baggies between the elevator door gap - so they fall into the basement - maybe this is one of the reasons the elevator was down for so long. Disgusting.7. In 6 months - I never did get the code for the trash room.8. I found out upon moving in that I would have to pay 98$ just to have a buzzer set up for my apartment - this was not disclosed in my lease. Couldn't even have a doorbell for 1350$/month.***** even screwed up my move out, by not having the people come to lock of the elevator.I have to pay 85$ for a service I wasn't even provided? What a joke~

The WORST management company out there! I reached out to them several times about a big disturbance that is done by a tenant with two large dogs (unapproved) that is treating the building like his own acreage, letting the dogs run wild and making so much noise it is unbearable. I lost my tenant because of that. I emailed Emerald property manager countless times with this issue, and this never got solved. I lived in other buildings where the property management had policies and rules, and I was able to enjoy living there. Now, it is an absolute nightmare trying to get this solved. In the past I had an active leak in the unit coming from the unit above, I was sending them videos taken with the pouring water and Nothing was done either. Cannot imagine a WORSE management company. Do not use them. Not worth the headache and the frustration they bring. They do NOT deserve any star, forced to leave one.
