            We recently purchased two new awnings from calgary tent and awning. It took over six months to receive them. The installation was horrible. They crushed the soffits which I will have to fix. When I pointed this out, they didn't care. Both awnings which are supposed to be new have scratches and marks on them. When I pointed out the scratches, again they don't care. So, if you are in the market for awnings or any other related products, AVOID dealing with calgary tent and awning as they just don't care. For them it is all about the money.

            The customer's order was placed with ********************** ***************************** on August 31, 2021, and the customer was advised at that time that delivery would be ***** weeks. The awning hardware was ready in November 2021, but the fabric the customer selected kept getting back ordered and arrived in February 2022. As this was a soffit mount, we normally send our ********* to reinforce the soffit. Our ********* takes steps to minimize the amount of compression on the soffit when the brackets are installed. Brackets cannot be installed without some compression to the soffit panel. The customer wanted to do his own carpentry work to reinforce the soffit. Unfortunately, the customer didn't install the backing as per the specs we require for installation. There were scratches on the front bar and we offered to replace the front bar for him. At the time of this complaint, the customer had given us a 50% deposit and the balance had not been collected. Working with the customer, we have agreed on a solution, and the balance owing has been received.
