We have contacted Cossins multiple times via email and phone and have been told we would get a call and never did. Emails have been dismissive/have not been replied to. I purchased 4 windows from Cossins in June 2021. Expectation: Cossins will replace my windows with something suited to our climate or to offer a refund, plus the cost of painting the trim as i incurred this & will need to redo.Issue: New windows are unsafe due to uninsulated gap between the fixed pane and the sliding portion, ice builds up making it impossible to open the windows during very cold temperatures.I bought new windows to replace single-pane sliders that iced over. I thought any new windows sold in ******* would be made for our climate and would be safe and improve our home. I chose to go with a local company and thought a higher price-point would ensure that the windows and service would be of good quality. I was never informed during the estimate process that these windows would be unsuitable for my home. These windows would be ok for a shed or garage, but certainly not bedroom windows. Cossins said that the reason that my windows have condensation is that the humidity level in my home is high. Yet, we have a 4-year old double-pane sliding window made by ***** **** windows that is installed right over the sink (high humidity) and does not have significant ice build-up on the frame. Please find a photo of the issue ******** (****) and the ***** **** window(****) to show the difference in quality. They are both installed along the same side of our house so experience the same amount of sunlight.The windows Cossins installed are Bethel Windows. I had not heard of them prior to them being installed. They are not mentioned on the website and the estimator did not mention this either. Based on advertisements and their website, Cossins makes their own windows in *******. I emailed to ask about this and my question was ignored. Nails and debris were also left behind.
