Please be aware that the Calgary Zoo Memberships are never refundable, and likely no one will listen to your claims if you have any issues. Also the Calgary Zoo may state they have sent correspondance to you in regards to a claim, even thought it wad never received. The Calgary Zoo membership team may not even reply to emails or questions until it is too late. I would seriously question buying a membership from the Zoo, as they have poor communication and refuse to work with members in this difficult time of a pandemic.I requested to cancel my membership and asked if there is any type of refund due to Covid 19 and the enforced restrictions. I did not receive a reply or any correspondence in relation to the matter for two months, even after leaving a voice mail message and sending an e-mail. I sent another email in November, and received a call from the Director of Engagement. The director stated that all memberships are non refundable, and did not acknowledge my claims. I also was told that I had been sent two emails about the possibility of putting a membership on hold. I had never received those messages, or an initial email reply. Even though I advised the Director that I had never received any correspondence, the Director told me that I was no longer eligible for anything, and she was not responsible for any emails actually being received or going through. I found the lack of communication through the whole process concerning, and the lack of transparency with their correspondence process deficient. The Director refused to meet me half way, as she could have put my membership on hold, which she stated they had offered to other members in my situation. Please be informed that if you have any membership issues with the Calgary Zoo, you may be dealt with poorly and left powerless in the resolution as I hade been.
