              Cold lake Deals on Wheels Details: Vehicle was sold in good working order was told transmission was slipping a bit but when they drove it seemed fine as they claimed, when I asked about they said if there was an issue they would give me my money back or put it towards another vehicle on their lot. On the way home with the vehicle the transmission was slipping bad and would not go into reverse I told the dealership and was told to keep them informed when I knew what the issue was. I took it into a local transmission repair shop and was told the transmission needed a complete replacement cost $3000.00 I then informed the dealership as requested and was then told it was sold AS IS! I was willing to work with them and offered to pay half the repair cost as I understand it was a used vehicle but was not willing to be on the hook for the full amount as they knew it had issues but did not disclose to me how bad it really was. They told me they were now not willing to help me in any way!!

              Customer received a current AMVIC Mechanical Fitness Assessment which stated transmission was weak. Customer was told transmission did slip in low gears but that we drove it from Edmonton with no issues. Retail on vehicle was $7500 and we sold it for $3500 because the transmission was weak. When customer informed us of the problem he was offered full credit towards any other vehicle on our lot even though our policy is all vehicles are sold on a “as is/where is” basis. Customer refused credit and demanded we pay for 1/2 transmission job. Customer could not be satisfied except for how he wanted to be satisfied. Customer posted slanderous comments on business, personal and local crime watch ******** pages which were reported and posts were removed by page administrators. As a last resort we offered to pay for 1/2 transmission if he paid 1/2 difference between retail price and our selling price since if we had of repairs the transmission we would have been asking in the $7000 range.
