I purchased a stolen quad from Motor Credit. It is now in the possession of the RCMP. My legal representative has sent a Demand Note to Motor Credit to void the sale without any response. A Civil Claim will be filed and served on Motor Credit soon. I advise that others be very careful when dealing with this company. Apparently they fence stolen goods. Heads up!

Jerett H******* contacted Motor Credit around the beginning of May, 2020 to use our broker services. He needed us to set him up with a loan so that he could purchase a 2017 ***** ******* *** that he found for sale on ******. He did not purchase one of our instock units. He wanted to choose his own. He made an agreement with a private seller named ***** *********** (of Edmonton) to purchase the 2017 ***** ******* *** for $6100.00. When we facilitate a private sale transaction it us up to the client to make sure the unit they are purchasing is free and clear to be able to do so as well as the condition and mechanics of the unit. We are not required to run a ****** report by anyone by law. This is not a vehicle purchase and as such we are not a AMVIC regulated industry. At the time of the purchase all we did was pull an Alberta Lien Search. As far as the third party Lender we worked with for him, they also do not require us to run a ****** either. This situation continue to be on going and we have been in contact with both Alberta and British Columbia RCMP, the Edmonton City Police and a our lawyers, Motor Credit is not being charge with any crime as we did nothing wrong. Jarett requested a loan for his ATV he found and we provided him the funds to go pay and pick up the 2017 ***** ******* *** from ***** ***********. When Jerret H******* made the deal with ***** ********** it was up to him to ask for the previous registration or previous bill of sale. Since this sale both Jerett H******* and Motor Credit has spoken to ***** *********** and he did not keep any of that paper work. No one in this situation knew the 2017 ***** ******* *** was stolen back in 2019 (according to the RCMP) unit mid AUG 2021. The 2017 ***** ******* *** is at the Salmo, BC RCMP attachment according to Jerret H*******, and we have been advised that there may be a way that he will end up with the ATV back but that is a waiting game with the insurance company that apparently is now the owner. As a result of this happening to Jarett H******* we have offered to refund him the cost of the fees and to help him (as he was asking) us to help him get another unit. Jarett H******* has made it clear that the only way to make him happy is to pay out the original amount of the loan plus he wants damages. Jarett has stated that he will stop at nothing to slander our name and to spread a false narative of what actually happened. He told me he just wants someone to pay. We did not steal the quad nor choose it for him. To conclude, his legal representative (****** H*******) has sent Motor Credit a demand statement that we have taken to our lawyer in which we have been advised that it is up to Jarett H******* to file the Statement of claim so that this can go to litigation. I would like to resolve this matter as I have expressed to Jarett H******* but he told us that he will not stop coming for us unless we do exactly what he asks for. We are standing by for the next steps here.
